Backpage Sneaky Incremental Price Increases Internet 

Backpage in an international advertising agency for a variety of goods and services. When placing an ad, the user is given the upgarde option of having their ad appear highlighted with a thumbnail picture on the right-hand side or the category.

The first time a user places an ad, the price for this upgrade is $1.80 USD for 4 weeks. However, for the next ad, regardless of elpased time from placing the first ad, the price goes up to $1.95, the $2.10, then $2.25, and so on, in $ .15 increments.  I tried clearing my cookies, changing browsers and e-mail addresses, and I still got the same result. Apparently, Backpage tracks the IP address of the user, and keeps raising the price in small increments, hoping that the user does not take notice.RIPOFF!!!! In fact, I DID take notice, and I am pissed!
