Bally Total Fitness is a joke. They work their employees like dogs and dont believe in giving raises. I've heard that it is only the Atlanta district that does this. And the sales guys do anything and say anything to get a sale. You can't even trust your managers and supervisors to keep their word. They say one thing and do something different.

I would never recommend anyone to Bally Total Fitness. And if I knew before what I know now I would have never worked for them. The worst company in the world to work for!!!!!

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

too much work , too little pay

AUTHOR: April - (U.S.A.)

as an ex-employee of btf i would like to add that the practice of too much work and not enough pay is not only happening in atlanta, but in california as well, i used to work for the corporate office in norwalk for 2 years, if finally had to quit due to not receiving a raise, i was told that i did not meet the criteria for a raise. now this is what i don't understand, how does a company justify raising their membership dues every year based on the cost of living, but does not give hard working employess raises for the same reason? and let me add if you have a membership that is paid in full and your paying renewal dues, you better believe your dues are going up every year, regardless of the condition your membership club might be in. i would also like to add that i am not a disgruntled ex-employee, i just think that it is sad that a company that is supposed to promote health and fitness has some of the most unhealthy club conditions and practices.
