Bally's certainly makes sure that they are taken care of. After a 1 year membership, my wife and I wanted to let the membership expire since we were not using the gym often enough to make it worthwhile (with a newborn baby it's hard to make the time). Bally's was presumptuous enough to charge the credit card that I used to pay the membership fee the first year without authorization to renew for another year. Their employees at the gym say that they can't do anything about that and that I have to talk to corporate. After over an hour on the phone, I was able to get through to someone who after another half hour of trying to sell me various promotions assured me that this will be taken care of. It was not. Do not use this company.... there are plenty of other gyms around that will not charge you without authorization.... that you can easily get in touch with if you have a question or problem.
