The Chicago Bally facility in the 3900 N. Milwaukee block of Chicago, Il. 6064l plays earsplitting music all the mornings I work out at this facility. The former manager, Sandy, always said to tell the desk staff if this problem exists and they would turn it down. The sound it well over 85 decibles and actually can be painful. The new manager has a system now where the desk staff tells me that they have no authority over the sound and to come in after l0:00 a.m. to talk to the newer manager. This I can do as I need to report to my teaching job. (Incidentally, I often fill in for health teachers and we are always pushing the need to keep the decible levels lower that 85.) I called the new manager, Ken, and he was v. pleasant and listened attentively to my above description and said he would rectify it. There has been no change in subsequent visits during the morning I work out there. There tremendous decible level is in the treadmill section, the machines section, and the larger room where there are weight machines, etc. These are the only places I use. Any help you can proffer will be appreciated.
