Buyers Beware: PUT EVERYTHING in writing when dealing with Rafal and Baltic Windows. Rafal is the son of the owner and has been put in charge of overall operations. The list of transgressions starts like this:

- you assumed they will leave you with cleaned windows after the installation. Apparently not. Its not written in the contract!
- you expect quality product: dents and bents and butchered trims are the norm
- you are told it will only take three days but it took 3 weeks.
- because you entered into a deferred payment plan, the financing company would have paid Baltic out so there's no leverage you have and they don't have to complete what they promised -- so Rafal will stick it to you.
- they then set expectations outside of the contract which they can't deliver, never intended to for e.g., we can make arrangements with one of their installers who can paint the trims for inexpensively. NOT. The installer's day job is installing windows. Not interested in trim jobs and besides Rafa schedules them quickly to the next job and the next job....meanwhile you live in a fishbowl 'coz you thought you didn't have to make your own arrangements for painting. Now all the painters for the summer are on other jobs.
- you raise all these outstanding issues and Rafal decides his ego is hurt, he's bent over backwards, pounds his chest, flex his muscles and tells you the customer to stick it.

Unfortunately for Rafal, his attention to details is non-existent.

So future windows buyers -- BEWARE when doing business with Baltic and regardless of who sells you the windows, Rafal is the man running the show and will end up ruining your project. All we wanted was quality work and product for the price we paid.

First off all lets start off by saying that everything was in in writing. I will try to tackle these issues one at a time. The windows that come out from our factory are cleaned and inspected before they are loaded on our truck. As with all major home renovations there is a certain amount of dust that is expected, even though we use drop cloths there probably were fingerprints on the glass which was cleaned up by myself personally. As far as dents and bents and butchered trims, thats a huge exaggeration, Irene and Tony you made us redo these frames until you were satisfied and don't forget at the end of the job you called and said how ecstatic you were with the product. All of our customers sign off after a job is done and we ask for you to rate our product and installation and you rated it a 5 out of 5! We did tell you that the job will take 3 days and we were finished in 3 days even with all of your comments, you ordered a specific door and when it was 1 week before installation you decided on another one, we scrambled and still got it to you on time.. Irene your biggest issue should not be blamed on us but on yourself, We told you from the very beginning that you would have to paint the jamb extensions and the casings, the painter that we suggested was too expensive for you and the second one could not do it fast enough. In the contract in black and white it states that customer is responsible for painting of interior trim. I completely understand your frustration, its impossible to put window coverings on until the jambs are painted and therefore you had to use garbage bags for drapes but ask yourself whose fault is that? Irene and Tony your house has over 40 windows, and 2 doors and all the work was done with the utmost care and attention. I would be more than happy to show anyone that wants to see the communication back and forth between myself and Irene and Tony Nathan.. We have since done work for several of your neighbours and ALL are completely satisfied. Baltic windows enjoys a great reputation in our industry by having friendly and knowledgeable staff including our sales people and our installation crews. Tony treated our guys to pizza and wings for the 3 days that we were working on your premises and they enjoyed working on your house and making it look extra special. Unfortunately because of your poor lack of scheduling it made your life that much harder. After coming out personally and cleaning your windows we gave you a break of your final bill for any inconvenience but you still owe us a balance of $1500.00. All phone calls and emails to you were not returned. As far as the deferred payment plan was concerned it was your choice to do so, the options were all presented to you and you chose CitiFinancial. Irene and Tony Nathan please put your emotions aside and settle your bill with us.
