I think this is a bogus claim made by the OP. You can't rely on Google and spew it out as the truth.

POSTED: Wednesday, January 16, 2013Perhaps everyone who has a Bank of America credit card can try and purchase ammo and see what happens.
A debit card uses money that a person already has in an account. A credit card allows the individual to borrow money that they do not have. Since the bank is ultimately in control of the money being borrowed, it would be logical to conclude that they can deny certain purchases by those who have credit cards, correct?
Have a nice evening.

POSTED: Wednesday, January 16, 2013Hopefully, by now you've realized that this is nothing more than an Internet hoax, designed to convince mindless sheep like you to complain about this particular bank for no real reason.

POSTED: Wednesday, January 16, 2013You can 'Google' this- BANK EXECUTIVES PROFITING ON THE DEATH OF EMPLOYEES, and read the related articles on the web for proof.
***Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and JP Morgan Chase have a combined $45 Billion in these policies, according to one of the articles.
You can also stay at this site and type in- TAKING OUT SECRET LIFE INSURANCE, and read Ripoff Report #411913 for additional information about the banks that have taken out secret life insurance policies on their employees.
Conclusion: Bank of America does not want its customers purchasing guns and ammo with BOA credit cards, but Bank of America has no problem collecting money from secret life insurance policies and having "death sweeps" performed by an outside broker in order to find out if any of their current or former employees died???
Question: Since most credit cards will allow the user to access cash from an ATM by simply typing in their PIN, wouldn't it be logical to conclude that a person who wanted to buy a gun or ammo could go to an ATM with their BOA credit card and withdraw the cash in order to make the purchase?
Good luck to you, and make sure to spread your Ripoff Report all over the web at sites like Twitter and Facebook.
