I've been with Juniper bank now for several years now, I have never missed a payment. Recently last month I recieved my bill and they jacked up my interest rate to 24.24%. I called their representatives and they said that all the companies are going up.I explained to them not the ones I'll be doing buisness with. I asked for the payoff ballance which I wrote out a check for and sent it in, and closed the account. This month I recieved a bill for finace charges and fees to a total of $58.25. They said when I called that it was recieved late, I assume I am responsible for what happenes in th US Postal Service I spoke with several forigners that I could not understand untill I talked to a supervisor "DEM 80180" who refuse to give me the corporate phone # and the CEO or Presidents name. SSo here I am I thought I could find something on the internet or a contact number to resolve this issue. The kind of conduct should be illegal. I DO know one thing I refuse to pay this type of slander!!!!

i can relate to your situation coz this same scenario also happens to me.how ever we need also to understand that deu to economic crisis,in order for the banks to cope up with this and to continue providing good service they have no choice but to also raised the rate coz basically this is how they earned revenues.so for those who doesnt want to be assesed of any finance charges u need to pay the balance in full on or before due date, and the best way to make sure that your payment will be received on time, it would be better if you process the payment thru your credit card issuer website or thru their automated system because that will consider a payment on the day u process it as long as within their cut off time,so you must also need to know when is their cut off time. unlike sending payment by mail,u need to allow at least 7 to 10 business days prior to your due date and still no assurance if the payment will received on time or not, and worst chances, it might be lost in the mail because neither we nor the bank has controll with the postal service.
