Complaint Review: Bay Pines VA
Bay Pines VA10,000 Bay Pines Blvd Bay Pines, Florida United States of America
Bay Pines VA Department of Veterans Affairs HUDVash program was set up to help homeless vets. They turned me away without even trying to help. Bay Pines, Florida
*REBUTTAL Individual responds: I totally understand
*Consumer Comment: VA Employees are Often Inadequately Supervised
*Consumer Comment: Agree!
Things got so bad that I ended up living in a storage unit for 3 weeks. I went to the VA for help. The Federal Government has a program called HUD Vash. They claim that it's there to help homeless veterans. Bulls**t. They didn't even try to help me. The woman at the Hud Vash office said "You don't qualify. It's only for chronically homeless vets".
Since then, I started a business. I rented an executive office suite. Nobody knows about this but I live there. I make the best of it. I'm trying to re-establish myself again - no thanks to the V.A. I'll get through this and my new business will succeed. Meanwhile, the VA and the rest of our dysfunctional government will continue to support junkies and criminals. But the people who are really struggling in America - we're invisible. We don't count.
I will make it though this. And the point I want to make is - there is nobody looking out for us. There's no God looking out for us. The government doesn't give a f**k about us. We are all on our own.
