Saturday I was looking for a used car from Beaman. Ryan Denson used his phony sales pitch and tried to scam me into a 2011 Toyota Corolla. I have done price comparisons, and Beaman has way too high of price on their Corollas. Ryan assured me 100% that he could get me into a new Corolla and get me a good price.
I was ready to buy. I had the downpayment, everything ready to go. Then Ryan decided to change his attitude... the Sales Manager, Torsten Taylor, was brought out to see me. He assured me I'd be in my new Corolla Monday! He said he'd even bring it to me! Both Ryan & Tortsen promised it was a done deal.
So why would I have to wait until Monday? They said their finance guy was out of office. Hmmm... I doubt Beaman only has one finance guy! They claimed this finance guy was the greatest ever, that he had connections to a ton of banks all over the country & would get me the best financing ever!! They said this was as good as done, and that he'd be in on Monday.
Monday comes - I call Torsten as instucted to do so. At 10:00am he says the finance guy is not in office yet, that he will call me when he gets in, which will be about 15 or 30 minutes. I called back at 1pm...no answer.... I called Torsten & Ryan several times between 1pm and 5pm ... they didn't answer, and they didn't call back.
After 5pm, Ryan calls to tell me that it's take "all day" to get financed, that he submitted to 3 banks at 9 this morning and they just now responded. Uh -- those responses are nearly instant, so it was a lie. Plus they could have run it through only 3 banks on Saturday to give me the same answer...!!! How does this go from being a done deal to "NO"?? Too much doesn't add up. So the greatest finance guy around only talks to 3 banks?
I was offered no explanation, no apology, nothing. The Sales Manager did not even take my calls or follow up with me. Ryan went from "polite" to rude and unhelpful.
Beaman wasted my time! I was given the run around, no nice way to put it. I was strung along. They made promises they couldn't keep and left me highly disapointed. Not a good way to do business.
