SEO Reputation Management at its best!

This was a 3 day ordeal, from Saturday until Monday night.

Saturday I was looking for a used car from Beaman. Ryan Denson used his phony sales pitch and tried to scam me into a 2011 Toyota Corolla. I have done price comparisons, and Beaman has way too high of price on their Corollas. Ryan assured me 100% that he could get me into a new Corolla and get me a good price.

I was ready to buy. I had the downpayment, everything ready to go.  Then Ryan decided to change his attitude... the Sales Manager, Torsten Taylor, was brought out to see me. He assured me I'd be in my new Corolla Monday! He said he'd even bring it to me!  Both Ryan & Tortsen promised it was a done deal.

So why would I have to wait until Monday? They said their finance guy was out of office. Hmmm... I doubt Beaman only has one finance guy! They claimed this finance guy was the greatest ever, that he had connections to a ton of banks all over the country & would get me the best financing ever!! They said this was as good as done, and that he'd be in on Monday.

Monday comes - I call Torsten as instucted to do so. At 10:00am he says the finance guy is not in office yet, that he will call me when he gets in, which will be about 15 or 30 minutes.  I called back at 1pm...no answer.... I called Torsten & Ryan several times between 1pm and 5pm ... they didn't answer, and they didn't call back.

After 5pm, Ryan calls to tell me that it's take "all day" to get financed, that he submitted to 3 banks at 9 this morning and they just now responded. Uh -- those responses are nearly instant, so it was a lie. Plus they could have run it through only 3 banks on Saturday to give me the same answer...!!! How does this go from being a done deal to "NO"??  Too much doesn't add up.  So the greatest finance guy around only talks to 3 banks?

I was offered no explanation, no apology, nothing. The Sales Manager did not even take my calls or follow up with me.  Ryan went from "polite" to rude and unhelpful.

Beaman wasted my time!  I was given the run around, no nice way to put it. I was strung along.  They made promises they couldn't keep and left me highly disapointed. Not a good way to do business.

Went there

AUTHOR: KTN - (United States of America)

I purchased a new vehicle from them last summer. I do not have any credit problems so I found the process a breeze. It did take the finance guy a long time (over an hour) to complete my financing. I buy vehicles often and I have observed them to be expensive on their used vehicles. Actually, I find them to be so expensive on their used I would never even look at their used inventory should I purchase a used car. Anyway, after I bought the vehicle they checked up on me afterwards for a while. I considered them to have good service. And yes, their doc fee is ridiculously high...but I never pay doc fees....if the dealer won't subtract the doc fee from the amount of the car then I leave.

Kellyrac, Make sure to 'Google' this- CAR SALES: TRICKS OF THE TRADE- CONSUMER ALERT, and watch how Tori was scammed.......

AUTHOR: Karl - (USA)

when she went to buy a car.

The company that owns that Ford dealership also owns several Toyota dealerships in the USA.

Sonic Automotive is the 3rd largest publicly held automotive dealer group in the USA. Believe it or not, that's the way most car dealerships in the USA operate when selling vehicles. The owners and operators at most car dealerships in the USA believe in lying, cheating, deceiving, manipulating, & tricking, as many innocent and unsuspecting consumers as possible in order to sell cars.

It's all about PROFITS!

Most of the owners and operators at car dealerships in the USA don't care about how the cars are sold. They only care about making the sale, even if means defrauding the banks in order to get the loan approved.

You can stay at this site and type in- NISSAN, and read Tanya's Ripoff Report for more proof as to how some car dealerships operate. (It's Ripoff Report #505850.)

Here's the saddest part of all: Even our politicians know that fraud and corruption is taking place at car dealerships in the USA, but most of them are obviously on the side of the corrupt car dealers.

You can 'Google' this- ELIZABETH WARREN GRILLS GEITHNER, CRITICIZES TREASURY'S FORECLOSURE PROGRAM PBS, and watch that interview on the web for proof.

***Pay close attention to what Elizabeth Warren says about "car dealers" at around 4 minutes 50 seconds into that video.

P.S. The mortgage business in the USA, over the past several years, operated exactly how most car dealerships in the USA operate. It's the main reason our country is such bad shape, wouldn't you agree?

Good luck to you.

Kelly, Look At The BOGUS FEE You Passed Up!

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

Yes Kelly, they are so-o-o honest and so-o-o concerned about your well being, your happiness, your mental state, your attitude!  They are so, so wonderful!

If this deal would have gone thru, according to their website you would have been hit with a BOGUS, ADD-ON, PHONEY FEE of close to $400 for the computer to do the paperwork!

Here's how the SCAM works...

The dealer doesn't have the honesty or integrity to attach the REAL PRICE to the car...be it in advertising, in negotiations etc.  What they do is use a phoney price, a price which is actually lower than what they really want.  To make up the difference, they come up with a BOGUS fee, give it an official sounding name in order to DECEIVE you, and then add it onto the phoney price.  In this case the BOGUS FEE is $389 and the FAKE, official sounding "name" for the BOGUS FEE is called "documentary fee".  It doesn't take anywhere near $400 for them to do the paperwork.  Its a SCAM and is common among the Sleazy American Car Business!

The slime balls of the business usually hide behind the excuse of "full disclosure" which means, "hey look, we're telling you in advance we're scamming you."

So my friend, you passed up being scammed.  Go out and spread the word!!!

Beaman Automotive - Beaman Toyota- Please accept our apologies

AUTHOR: Beaman Automotive - (United States of America)

Please accept our sincere apologies for any misunderstandings when you attempted to purchase a car from Beaman Toyota. We always appreciate feedback from our customers as well as shoppers who did not purchase from us. There is some background information, which you may not know.

When you visited our showroom, you completed and signed a credit application, allowing us to view your credit. Our Finance Director was away at the time and the Sales Consultant and Manager wanted him to view your credit and attempt to arrange financing. No promises were made, just assurances that we would try our best to arrange financing for you. Since the financial institution makes the decision on which customers they will finance, based on credit history of the individual, we cannot promise that financing can be obtained. We asked if you could provide a co-signer on the loan and our understanding was that you could not. A co-signer often can make the difference in the lender's decision, if the credit history of the co-signer is strong.

No specific model of Toyota Corolla was chosen by you and no prospective purchase contract was written between you and Beaman. In other words, no Corolla was picked out or priced and no sales process was started; only the credit application was completed.

The Finance Director returned on Monday, reviewed the credit application along with the credit history. There were many inquiries from other dealers and lenders. He determined that it would be very difficult to obtain financing without a co-signer. You were promised a definite answer on Monday and you were called late Monday afternoon with an answer.

Our business is to sell cars, trucks and vans and when we cannot complete a sale, it is frustrating to us as well as to the customer. You can be assured that we take no pleasure in disappointing a customer. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and wish you well in your quest to purchase a vehicle.

What is the ripoff

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

So other than loosing some time what exactly is the RipOff?

.Plus they could have run it through only 3 banks on Saturday to give me the same answer...!!! How does this go from being a done deal to "NO"??
- Because they actually tried to get you approved and found out they couldn't.  You didn't give any details, but one could figure that this is because you have bad credit and/or income issues that caused banks to not want to take a chance on you.  Finance managers are not miracle workers, there are cases where they just can't get people approved.

So the greatest finance guy around only talks to 3 banks?
- Actually a good fiance guy is going to know what banks will approve you in what situations.  So while you should still not trust anything anyone says unless they are willing to put it in writing.   The ones that send your application to a few are generally the ones who know more than the ones who send your application to 10 or 20 banks.

But you can avoid this situation all together.  Get your financing from another bank or finance company before you even step in a dealer.  This way you know exactly what you can afford and what the terms will be.
