I rented a townhome from Bennett and had a long list of issues. the worst was when the neighboring unit, also managed by bennett, became infested with Bed Bugs. The infestation was left untreated for months after the people moved out so the infestation spread to both my unit as well as the unit on the other side. Ginny, the property manager, would avoid my calls, voicemails, emails for over a week at a time. When I finally did talk to her, she promised that the exterminator would come the next day. He didn't. Back to square one of leaving voicemails on her cell and offfice number. meanwhile, I was forced to sleep on my living room floor for almost 4 weeks with my 3 year old son while live bugs took over my bedroom. I called the health department, threatened legal action, begged, cried and pleaded and they would not send anyone out. When i asked if i could move out, they told me they would sue me for a judgement. I was forced to move into another property of Bennett's so that i could get my deposit back, and they ended up keeping that anyway. When the exterminator finally came after living in the bed bug infested townhome, he told me he had told Ginny that the neighboring unit would have to have the carpets removed over 6 months ago and she never did, causing the infestation to spread. Before i moved into my current place i checked out another property of bennetts to avoid judement and the moron property manager for that unit declined me into moving in because i was leaving my current lease with Bennett one month early, I told him to speak with Ginny but he instead threatened me with a judegement and legal action. by the time it was straightened out the unit had been rented. So i was forced to move into another unit of their's over an hour away from my job.i lived with bed bugs for 4 weeks before an exterminator was sent out after the health dept got involved. Its been 6 months now and i still inspect my bed for bed bugs at throughout the night. My now 4 year old son wakes up with night terrors that bugs are crawling over him. Ginny and whoever else ignored this situation for 4 weeks, i hope you burn in hell for the trauma you have caused me and my son. At my current unit with bennett, I was told i had to pay for maintenance to come and fix things. My friend unknowingly just moved into a property of bennetts and says it is infested with Ticks. This company does not care about the propertys condition or the renters.
