Best Buy, Reno, NV. Not only worst customer service ever, but they knowingly sell paying customers items that have been returned as deffective! They peel off the return stickers and sell them knowing there's something wrong with them!

You can't file any sort of complaint and feel assured that it will be addressed as should be!

Just this last Friday, November 11th 2011, I went through such a hassle for four hours! All because I simply needed a battery charger and a USB cord!

I got at the Best Buy on S. Virginia St. at approximately 11:30. I approached a woman working there and asked for help with what I needed. She simply replied to me that she would not help me, because she wouldn't have a clue of what it was that I needed. She sent me to the Camera department.

I went to the camera department, there were two employees there. Each one of them were helping out one customer each.

They clearly saw me waiting there patiently for them the finish so they could assist me next. As soon as one of them was done with his customer, he walked away and never came back. So I thought that the other guy that was still there would help me next.

Then, the last employee that was there walked his customer to the register. I observed him as he did this. Then he had the audacity to help out this other lady as she was walking in to the store! I HAD ALREADY BEEN WAITING FOR APPROXIMATELY 20 MINUTES ON ASSISTANCE! They did that on purpose!

So at this point, I've been in the store 20 minutes, three employees have neglected me assistance. So, what I decided to do was just go home and look up the things I needed on BestBuy's website.

I called in, spoke with a Jasmine at customer service. I explained to her what I had just experienced and she assured me that she'd help me and that my item would be at customer service, and to just go directly to her at Customer Service.

I get there, I wait another 10-15 minutes in the customer service line, just to finally speak with her and she doesn't even have the item out for me! She simply sent me to the Camera Department! DEJAVU!

At the camera department, there was an older lady now. She grabbed the item I needed and just sent me off to the register. When asked at the register if I had found everything alright, I began to explain to the cashier that I did have some trouble.

This cashier, had the audacity to immediately interrupt me and say, "well... as long as you found everything AT THE END that's all that matters". What about all the trouble I had to go through before I found what I needed, due to lack of customer service?!

To my surprise, when I get home the charger does not work! When I'm driving back, I realized that this item had been previously returned! It had a return sticker on it that the staff in Best Buy, Reno NV decided to peel off and sell to another customer!

As a paying customer, I have the right to know whether an item has been returned or not! Because obviously, if I know it's returned, I won't buy it! But I was bamboozled by them!

So I have to drive to Best Buy for the third time to return this! Just to get a young guy in there that didn't seem to care much about my inconvenience! He was nice, though. I'm not complaining about him.

But I was in and out of there from 11:30 to 3:30 just to get a battery charger!

Today I called 800 best buy to file a complaint, the woman I spoke with was not very friendly or caring at all! After I explained to her my situation, all she said was, "I'll forward that to the store". I demanded a reference number, but I was neglected of such a thing.

Meaning only one suspicion- no one will hear of my report! I may be wrong! But I could be right!

This is by far, the worst experience and $50.00 plus unexpected gas money being wasted, due to a lack of true customer service! THE END! And by the end, I mean the end of buying at that store!

I guess you figured out their business model?

...They knowingly and willingly sell returned defective merchandise.

Well if this report has any merit...what their "scheme" is would be this..

1) Sell a new product.
2) New product gets returned as a defect so a refund or exchange is issued...
3) Instead of sending the defective product back which would be covered under the manufacturers warranty..
4) Place a sticker in it.
5) Remove the sticker but leave signs that there once was a defective sticker on it..
6) Place it back on the shelves.
7) Re sell it.
8) Enjoy the complaints when the next customer comes back to re return the defective product...

Yep..sounds like a good business plan to me ...if you are a retard.

Funny that you don't even have a name. Wouldn't be surprised if you're one of the guys at Best Buy.

When I stated that there had been a sticker that had been removed, it was because there was a return sticker on the item that was peeled. You could tell it was peeled because some of the sticky part of the sticker was still there and in the shape of a circle.

Not only that, but a little of the color of the sticker was there as well. I noticed this after the item was once again not working at my home. That's what got me upset. That item had already been returned, the staff simply tried peeling it off, and put it up for sale again.

Obviously, the reason it had been returned was because it was deffective. They had no business putting it back on the shelves!

I hate it when there's people like you, with no name, and trying to get smart with everyone else. In this life we can't be cowards, we gotta use our REAL names, and if you have any other opinions about my report... you can start by putting up your real name.

Because I don't know who you really are, or if you work for the franchise in any way.

"It had a return sticker on it that the staff in Best Buy, Reno NV decided to peel off and sell to another customer!"

If the sticker had been removed then how could it still be on the item? That is a confusing statement.

It's unclear as to how you know it was a returned item because you claim it had a sticker that was removed. Where did you see this sticker?
