The three days before the wedding, we were treated very rudely by one of the owners in all of our interactions with him. On the day of the wedding, a family member was setting up for a slide show (just trying to do it herself and save them work) and one of the owners came out yelling, "What in the hell are you doing?" The family member replied, "Well, I'm putting a tablecloth on a table." His reply was, "Jesus Christ.." yelling at a member of our family for setting up for a slide show. They knew we would be setting up for this, why he was upset, we don't know. Why he cussed and yelled at the mother of the groom, we are baffled.
The bride noticed that the DJ table had not been skirted yet, this was two hours before the wedding. She went to go look for a table skirt so that she could do it herself. Upon asking the same owner where the skirts were, he sighed and threw his hands up in the air. She took this as there were no skirts left. So she went to find tablecloths to make the best of the situation. In the meantime, the owner came out to yell at the bridesmaids for attempting to skirt the table(cussed and yelled at them). The bride then heard him badmouthing her and the wedding party in the kitchen area to other employees of the company.
Upon seeing that the bride probably heard him, he asked her what she was doing. She said, "I'm looking for tablecloths." He rudely and angrily said that the DJ would have to set up first. She replied,"Okay, that's all you had to tell us." He said, "Jesus Christ, you're leaving me notes around here like I'm f***ing blind."
The bride then cried for two hours before her wedding because of the way she was treated! On her wedding day! By someone that was providing a COSTLY service to her!
In my opinion, he should have respected everyone involved, as they were customers. Second, he should have respected the fact that the bride was getting married in two hours. Why couldn't he have simply said, "Don't worry about a thing, we'll get it all taken care of."?
Not only this, but after the wedding the parents of the groom paid for the bar bill. PAID IN FULL. A few days later, the parents were contacted. They were told that the bill was done wrong and that they owed more money. Upon receiving an updated, itemized report, the company charged the parents $75 for a bottle of apple pucker. We can go to a local grocery store and get a bottle of pucker for $5. So they increased the cost by 700%. Ripoff? You tell us.
There is not restitution for ruining a brides experience by making her cry. There is also NO EXCUSE for this man's behavior. He needs to learn how to deal with stress and anger, as well as how to deal with the public. Someone should teach him some manners as well.
