Best In Entertainment Ken Lena HIGH PRESSURE - Harassing calls and e-mails then evolving to vulgar insults to persuade me to send money for obscure "retainer" Chicago, Illinois

Like "Scambuster" reports, I too, was contacted without my consent, by e-mail on 8/7/12, almost a month ago,  to do a list of so-called big $$$$ ($5000 + per show) performances for un-named corporate clients by this guy called Ken Lena. Calling him back, at the number on the e-mail, thinking it may be good business, I only got a recording, so left a message and awaited his second contact. He called, we talked, he seemed to know the right people, but he  had some very strange comments and requests, especially regarding a required $500 'retainer' I was to pay him in advance before he'd book the hypothetical gigs!

I was very skeptical, and like all performers - agents - contacts in my business that I know, have never ever heard of any agency or booking service requiring a so called "retainer." This guy Ken Lena tried his best to fast-talk me into sending him some strange money order to the tune of $500 just to qualify for being one of his so called many top drawer talents. He was VERY COMPLIMENTARY to my talent. I perform in over 50+ celebrity tributes nationwide.
He found me via search engines and contacted me through my web site contact form.
 
I've been in show business for 25+ years and produce many fine shows for Fortune 500 companies, and also show producers. Never, never, never, have I ever been required by anyone legitimate in this honorable business to pay for being a talent. I repeat - NEVER!

So, I continued for the next few weeks to get Ken Lena calls, calls, more calls, e-mails and e-mails, and yes, I still have the voicemails and many e-mails to attest this fact.  NO, NO, NO, I did not send him even one dime....Then to summarize, in his last few  efforts he even tried to coax me into a situation (I wouldn't call it a deal) where I'd pay him $250 up front now, again before any actual paying gigs for me,  and $250 later based on a hypothetical show...NO NO NO I didn't send him one dime....he even sent (an e-mail)  gobbledy-dook contracts that made absolutley no sense, and then as a last try, offered me another situation "retainer" fee reduced down to $125, with balance of $375 due him on a hypothetical first gig.

Finally, my last e-mail from him was extremely vulgar, threatening, insulting. I want him to leave me and every hard working performer - entertainer alone....If there are laws against his type of activty, I want to know so I can report to the officials who would  stop him.
