update: Work Complete

AUTHOR: case work millwork - ()

The contractor just called upset at this posting as he said it implies he took the money and did not work. This is clearly not what the post states.

The critique now is that communication between contractor and customer, and ease thereof, is critical. After dozens of attempts of emails using his website, and calls to his cell, with no results a customer can only draw conclusions usually unfavorable. Had any of the numerous emails and calls (documented) been returned all of this post we have never happened.

For the record, after finally reaching the contracto (I called him) in late april, He stated he is still in Texas working and will be return in a few weeks and will complete the work, and clean the windows.

The Retainer Check for $500 I wrote to him for completion was dated August 5th so the work was finally completed another  3.5 months after this call.

He also stated that part of this was a misunderstanding of scope of job. This is certainly possible but with no call it could not be addressed. Again, this was pointed out to his employee initially. This matter of scope discussed then would have avoided all this.

So, the work began August of 2012 and completed August 2013 and was paid in full.

He seems to upset and consciensous of importance, as I am as a small business owner. Otherwise i would not have bothered with this update

Important in Fairness to note the initial portion of work was timely and of quality. The final work when addressed was completed once begun.
