Beware of several issues with this website BestPricePhoto.com Let';s start with the fact that there are several sites beside this one listing complaints about these people. Everything from credit card fraud to missing items in the box to bait & switch. I have just experienced two of the three so far. I have had to contact my bank and cancel my credit card in an effort to avoid the fraud part. I wish I would have read the reports sooner.
Wow, where to begin! This place has to be the worst business I have ever dealt with in my life. I have done a lot of business on the internet and never had issues like this. This place needs to be investigated by someone or just simply shut down. Everything you read from the other complaints are true. I ordered a camera, lens and some accessories for a total of $3,759.98 and never got an email confirmation of what I bought as requested. When I called back to ask about it I was told it would be out shortly.
I never got it, and since I paid extra to have the order shipped next day the package arrived before I could reach the sales person again the following day. I was already nervous because the box was too small to include the tripod. Sure enough, several items were missing. On top of that some of the items that were shipped were not what I ordered and the cord to the charger was missing. I called the store and was told to call back later when the customer service dept. opened.
I called back and spoke with someone named Jeff Walker who seemed helpful at first. He told me he would send the missing items out. After I hung up I noticed that the filters looked very cheap so I looked on line again to make sure I got the right ones. They have this filter kit listed on their site for 249.00, they charged me 149.99 and told me these were top of the line. I looked at other sites and found these same filters for 17.00 and less as they are usually free with a package deal from some sites. They are JUNK. Not what I ordered and not what I paid for.
I called back to speak with Jeff again. Holy Smokes, this was when his true personality came out. He was all over me, telling me that I was taking up his time and I was rude to call so many times. I told him I wanted a refund for the filter kit. He told me we gave that to you for free. I had a very hard time getting him to understand that there were two orders and this was on a separate order for 149.99 and he finally agreed to refund my credit card-that never happened-I had to finally call my bank and start a dispute to get my money back.
Even with that money back I am missing several items and at this time am not sure I will get them. In addition, I researched the package they made up for me and found the same package with more in it from Adorama for 500.00 less!!!!! So, I am still out 350.00 by dealing with this store. I was sick when I started looking for reviews about them and found dozens and dozens on several sites! All very bad, some even worse than what I have gone through. With all of these problems how can this place keep, operating?
If nothing else, we have to protect ourselves from these kind of things by NOT shopping at places like this. I've learned a big lesson, I will research complaint sites before I buy from anywhere in the future. PLEASE beware of this store and do yourself a big favor buy from one of the well known places. The Nikon prices are all fixed anyway so all you lose is the heartache by shopping at the well known sites. In fact, they will most likely have the best prices anyway.
