I placed 3 different orders on the same product on 8/15/01 and 8/16/01.The product was a 15" eMachines color monitor unit price $39.99ea. I thought right away (how can bestbuy's sell this product so cheap). When I placed the first order on Bestbuy's.com website, it allowed me to place 3 monitors in my shopping cart and stated that this product ships in 24-48 hours. I was going to have one of the monitors shipped to a freind, and a second monitor shipped to someone else, and the third monitor shipped to me.That is why I placed 3 different orders for the same product.
As of 8/19/01 I still have not received a shipping notice from Bestbuy's, so I called the on the phone. They said I ordered a product that was on back order. I told the Bestbuy's REP.that thier website did not indicate a back order, in fact it stated the monitors were in stock! The REP stated that something went wrong and that the monitors would be back in stock very soon but they couldn't give me a date. I said ok again, I'll wait because this was such a great deal.
After waiting 4 more days, I called Bestbuy's again. I spoke to John the Company REP and he said they still were not in. I asked to speak to the manager. I think his name was Chris. He asked me to hold while he checked on this matter. When he got back on the phone he said that the monitors would be in no later than Monday 8/26/01. Again I said ok.
On Monday 8/26/01 I received 3 E-Mails from Bestbuy's stating that they were not getting anymore 15" eMachines Monitors, and my orders are canselled! Well by this time I was Very mad. Again I called bestbuy's and spoke to a REP. She said that they will not be getting anymore of this product, Sorry! I asked if they would send me a similar product, and she said they don't have anything, anywhere near that price range.
That is why I am sure the product was marked at the wrong Price. Even so, why did they keep stringing me along, and giving me the run-a-round? I have done business with Bestbuy's in the past, but will not do any in the future!!!!
