I attempted to place an order for a Pentax k10d with lens kit (several hundred dollars below everyone else) on Feb. 4. I was told this was in stock. I spent approximately 15 minutes refusing ridiculously overpriced add ons (like $200 for a battery and charger, when a RETAIL ONE FROM PENTAX is like $70). The next day, a phone call revealed that the camera was "back ordered". This was after waiting for 30 minutes on hold. I asked to speak to a supervisor (because I was offered a "retail" version that was in stock and I wanted it for the same price instead of $150 more) and was "put on hold" (i.e., disconnected). After waiting another 30 minutes, I asked for a name and an extension # so I could not have to wait again. I got 772.. Then I once again waited for a supervisor, who never answered after 40 minutes on hold. Calling back, the extension was invalid.

I called back one more time, to cancel my order. I asked for an extension # and was told it was 772, when I said that was invalid, the young man insisted it wasn't. When I asked for a supervisor, I was refused and then hung up on.

Just for fun, I called up sales and pretended to place a phony order for the full kit with all the overpriced accessories. Surprise, Surprise, it was in stock! Long story short, this is a bait and switch operation. They advertise low prices, but if you don't purchase any accessories, I believe they never fill the order.

Also, the ad clearly says the camera comes with full U.S. Warranty, but on the phone they tell you it is only warranted thru them (Its gray market, i.e., not supposed to be sold in U.S.), not a surprise to me, but would be to many.
