Better Business Bureau Flawed system that does nothing but misreprsent businesses Clearwater, Florida

The Better Business Bureau is one of the biggest rip offs out there.  This organization which people falsely assume is a government backed group, is quick to talk of the benefits of joining them and how they help businesses with their reputation, yet they do nothing of the sort.  The system they use is completely flawed in the first place.  If you get a series of complaints they will suspend your account, claim that they are reviewing your information (which you would assume would involve the companies side) and then revoke your status.  Now before you go and assume that we are bitter because of them revoking our status, let me explain how the system is flawed.  We have been in business for over 10 years.  In this time we have had 23 complaints registered with the BBB. This may seem high to some individuals and it may seem extremely low based on the years in business.  I will leave that up to the reader.  Now here is how their system doesn't make sense.  In those 10 years of business we have had over 100,000 customers and over 200,000 orders.  If we take those 23 complaints and compare that to our sales, then you will see that we have a complaint rate of less then 1%.  Show me any business that would not be happy to have that complaint rate.   On top of that we have resolved the issues of the 23 complaints on record. 

What the BBB needs to do is periodically receive order counts, number of customers serviced, or other sales data so they can properly represent the businesses.  The companies that spend the time getting accredited are doing so because they are running their businesses the right way.  Why else would they spend the money with the BBB.  However, with the simple fact that the BBB has no interest in properly representing the businesses and only cares about signing them up, collecting money, and then misrepresenting them.  I see no reason why any company would waste their time or hard earned money utilizing their so called service.
