I signed a Contract # CI 08012223 on January 6, 2008; after attending a Sales seminar offered by Better Trades in Mundelein, IL in the amount of $3,995.00.
I attended a 2-day seminar on January 22-23; Training Program to explain in details; how to trade Options, and took additional course materials at a cost of $ 995.00.
I was, then charged $ 420.00 for data base supplied by Genesis Financial Tech; contractor to Better Trades.
As the training seminar was so intense as to not having grabbed all of the fundamentals on February 15th, 2008; I e-mailed to one of the employees on the Better Trade sales staff; Al Toth; asking him to assist in tutoring me; to which I never received any replies; either e-mail, or telephone to volunteer to help; fulfill this request.
On March 3, 2008 I talked to an Amelia in Customer Service; and she promised to make contact with Mr. Toth to ask him to communicate with me. Again, never received any replies; e-mail or telephone responses ?
So, I followed up on March 17, 2008; with Amelia, but no response from her or Mr. Toth.
Accordingly, on March 26; I sent a Certified Mail - Return Signature receipt required to Mr. Freddie Rick; Founder of Better Trades a.k.a. Long Term - Short Term, Inc. to the Las Vegas, NV address listed on the sales contract; asking for 100 % refund, due to lack of the promised customer support. Received back the signed receipt; and then never heard any further from that office.
So, of April 15, 2008; I followed up with Customer Support supervision; Shawn Smith, by e-mail, asking for 100% refund, offering to return all course materials in exchange for the credit back to my credit card(s). No response.
On April 29, 2008, I downloaded the Better Trades website Contact Form and e-mailed to Mr. Freddie Rick; explaining my dissatisfaction and request for 100 % refund. No response, again.
On May 2, 2008, after finding that Mr. Rick's office is in Davin, WV 25617; I sent again, a Certified Receipt - Signature Reply Required Letter direct to Mr. Rick; same request for 100 % credit refund. Rec'd Return Receipt with signature of Shirley F. Rick; dated May 6, 2008
Finally, on May 19; I got the first ever call or correspondence originated by Better Trades; Shawn Smith; Customer Support Supervision, asking as to why no activity on my account; so I explained the scenario to him, in detail; with my request for communications, in writing, from Mr. Rick to resolve this matter.
Numerous telephone conversations took place from June 5; to June 20, when a Sylvia in their Davin WV offices finally had a Shelley Frazier agree to make a 50 % refund on the Contract; aforementioned; and 100 % of some of the course materials; out of the Market Essentials training program; back on Jan. 22-23, on condition of my returning all sales and training course materials; which was done; received by Better Trades as of June 26, 2008.
Credit card (Credit) notice and a Long Term - Short Term refund check were received, in sum total of $ 2,992.50; which is $ 2,417.50 short to a 100 % refund; which I am now hopeful, that you can prompt Better Trades to refund the balance due ?
I have reviewed many of the other cases that you have on your website archives as to claims to Rip-Off by Better Trades; and I am hopeful, that thru your actions, with plenty of prior experiences with Better Trades; and Mr. Freddie Rick; that a complete refund due to total lack of Customer care and support can be achieved.
