Bigger Pockets Josh Dorkin CEO On November 25, 2015 I joined Bigger Pockets. I soon changed my email address. I then changed it on my member profile at Bigger Pockets. Some of the emails still kept coming to the old address. I addressed the issue with customer service and with Josh Dorkin, the owner. I even went on their other website to change or unsubscribe to their blog that was going to my old email address, but the website kept telling me my email or login did not exist. They either were not able to fix the problem or were ignoring me. I then decided to cancel my account, in order to rejoin with an entirely new email address. Denver Internet

On November 25, 2015 I joined Bigger Pockets. Then two days ago, I was asked by support if the issue had been resolved.  I told them I had opened a new account.  But then now, I started receiving their different emails to all of my 3 email addresses.  I had waited for two weeks after I closed my account and open a new one, in the hopes the emails would stop coming in to my two other email address.  Yesterday, I then sent an email to Bigger Pockets telling them I wanted to downgrade.  I never requested a refund.  They have a free membership and paid membership.  I was a Pro Member.  Just like everything else, I tried to do the downgrade online, but it did not work.  When I downloaded my picture, upon their advice, I could not do it online, so they did it for me.  There were many complaints of others, not being able to download their picture.  I had an odd feeling about their lack of integrity support from the beginning.

Then yesterday, after I sent them my email, answering their question, as to what were the technical and administrative issues I was having, I got an abusive email from Scott Trench, the operations manager.  He told me that he had refunded my money and to look for an alternate platform.  But never told me I had not access. They had refunded my two previous charges because, after I paid for one month, I decided to pay for a year.  So they refunded my monthly membership and charged me the year membership.  But after the many emails issues, I cancelled my account and got a refund.  I was hoping that after cancelling my account, I could then use a new email address and open a new account.  I waited two weeks; however, when I opened my new account, they now were sending me emails to my 3 email addresses.  In other words, they do not have the ability for us to be able to make email address changes.  Then after three months of this mess, I tried to solve the issues, because they didn't.  These are very young folks; who are very immature.  Yet they claim that we can get all the Real Estate Investing advice from their website without us having to spend money somewhere else.  However, it turns out that their advice is not trustworthy, neither is their customer service nor their website.  Over 1 ½ years ago, in one of their books, they advised that an investor should become an agent, and I did.  1 ½ year later I find out that I am not able to be an independent agent without working for a broker.

However, after I came home in the evening, I found out that all my household devices, desktop, 4 laptops; one of mine and 3 belonging to my roommates, and including my cell phone are blocked from accessing their website.  I never gave them this information.  My roommates did not even know about their website, nor even accessed it.  These was done without notice, without warning and without me violating their website rules.  And to involve my roommates to this blocking, they are totally out of line.  There are other postings online of this kind of practice against other members.  Here is what another ex-member says: “I don't recommend using that site unless you want to be banned for miniscule reasons.”
