I write this as an open letter to you, Bill Zinke, the most opprobrious employer I have ever had the misfortune of working for. I debated as to whether I should waste my time writing this or not, because more than likely, what I have to say will not phase you. Report after report has been filed on this site, post after post has gone on Craigslist to present warning to those who might consider working for you. And through all of it, you maintain you are the hapless victim of a systematic campaign designed to harass and destroy you. No, Bill, it is to give due and fair warning to others about your disgusting abuse of people, unscrupulous business practices, and exploitation of employment law.
Working for you was undoubtedly the most miserable work experience of my life. You displayed relentless, misogynistic, and rude behavior. On countless occasions I asked you to speak to me in a respectful manner, but you couldn't even show me this common courtesy. I thought that it was just me, but I know from personal conversations I have had with some of your former employees, emails I read from people who refused to do business with you anymore (authors and "strategic partners"), and reading the numerous resignation letters and unemployment appeals, that it was not me, that is how you treat people in general. You lure people in with a large salary, convincing each of us that somehow you'll be different than these reports. You'll be "nice" for a week or two, then the real you comes out. You tell each person that drifts in and out of your office about the fabrication of the infamous 115+ employee list and the "lies" that exist within these Ripoff Reports. And some of us, obviously, are gullible enough to think that it JUST MIGHT be different than the stories we've read. That stupidity is our own fault.
I write this in the present tense, not that I work for you any longer, but I know this is how you are still running your business. I know you have not had that magical Scrooge-like epiphany that will make you repent your ways. You abuse people. You have no respect for anyones time or life. You use every minute and ounce of energy you can squeeze out of people. You hold money over your employee's heads. You give bonuses, and then accuse people of stealing money from you. You destroy people and don't care. It doesn't matter if your [former] employees lose their homes or cars because you've fired them, or their health or their relationships while they are under your employ, as long as your needs are met. You truly think the world revolves around you and your delusions. Your lack of understanding about technology is pathetic. Your antiquated business practices are no longer viable in the world that exists today. Your senility has a direct impact on the office, but you refuse to acknowledge it. No one does business like you anymore.
You misrepresent jobs within your organization. People are hired to be Project Coordinators, Executive Assistants, Marketing Directors, etc. and in the end we are overpaid braindead-typists, typing your handwritten emails, attempting to decipher your hyphens and run-on sentences. Your insistence that your employees "think outside the box" and your demand for "excellence" is a tiresome joke. I was well aware of how you felt about me and your lack of faith in my abilitieswhich was complete nonsense. If I was that incapable, then why did I last as long as I did? Plain and simple, you could not control me and it made you angry. I refused to play your games, kiss your butt, or work your long hours. I imagine thats what has done-in a majority of your employees: a refusal to bend to your rules. That doesnt work with people like you. Those of us who have any sort of self-worth are a threat to your need for control, so we must be eliminated.
Your unethical business practices are catching-up with you. Telling people about money you receive from sponsors is a LIE. Your definition of "business dealings" is to contact people via letter, tell them about your meeting(s), and then ask them for money. Even if they don't write you back or send you a rejection letter, you twist it in a way that makes it seem like you've had an outstanding business relationship for years. It amazes me the amount of people you have s****.>
It amazes me how you have stayed in business all these years; you are guilty of conducting one of the most inhospitable work environments Ive ever encountered. One day, old man, life and karma will catch-up with you (as I think it is right now). People are abandoning you left and right. Your ability to attract and keep employees is diminishing. People no longer want to do business with you. You think "power" is defined as being a white man with a lot of money in your bank account surprise, Bill, it's no longer 1950 and "your kind" is going the way of the dinosaur. You want to try to hunt me down and figure out who is behind this? Go for it. You want to sue me for libel? It's not libel if it is true. I would be more than happy to expose you for all you really are: a pathetic old man who is clinging to delusions of grandeur.
Your ego is bigger than reality and reality is, Bill, you are insignificant.
