Bill me later paypal billed for fradulent account- they will provide no info on product supposedly shipped and billed to me Internet, Internet

I called bill me later to get more info on purchace. They basically said that was internal information- just pay bill or make police report. My wife made a police report to state police saying we got this bill- but dont know if something was supposed to be shipped to us (bill me later has that info i think but wont share)
My wife also sent a complaint to WV State Attorney General. We have not been able to get copy of police report yet (we have busy schedule during week and they want $20 for copy) and I dont think it will provide any info to anyone.
If bill me later had helped me in any way to track this fradulent billing I would not be so furious about the situation. I would rather pay twice the amount above to a lawyer than pay anything to them. What options do I have?
