The company BioFog sells a product called SCOE 10x that is "guaranteed" to eliminate all annoying odors from numerous surfaces and materials. I bought a 32oz. bottle of concentrated product for $80.00 and used it to attempt to remove the odor of dog urine from the subfloor of a house I recently bought. I used the product exactly according to instructions on the bottle, yet it failed to remove the odor. I contacted the company, talked with the owner John Davidson, but instead of receiving a check from their 100% money back guarantee, I received insults and name calliing. By the end of the conversation John had called me an idiot liar who could not comprehend how his product worked or how it was meant to be used. John Davidson told me that I had used the product incorrectly and that he would not give me my money back. He told me the product only worked when the surface was kept wet and that I should have covered the treated area to prevent evaporation. However, instructions on the bottle clearly state to apply the product and then let dry. John Davidson was an arrogant jerk who is not a man of his or his company's word. Not only is SCOE 10x an ineffective product that doesn't work or deserve your money, but also it lies about it guarantee and its owner lacks proper manners.

Too Good to be True?? - NOT

AUTHOR: Frank - ()

I consider myself a moderate skeptic when researching new products.  I usually tend to ignore the comments that give the highest and lowest marks for the product and focus on the middle range.  In most cases, this gives the most accurate picture.  The  people who rave on the product typically had low expectations to begin and were amazed that the product exceeded those expectations.  The lowest marks usually arise from the customer feeling they were treated unfairly.  In this case, however, the unrealistically high positive reviews are true.

I have used the product for several years and have found it the best product for removing odors. I cannot speak on the customer service issue, as I have never had to return the product.  You must also remember that, as with all enzymatic cleaners, the molecules responsible for the odor will break down and release degradants.  In the case of urine, that degradant is ammonia.  Ammonia will stain fabrics, so the consumer must be aware of that issue. Even so, I have found that the product lives up to its claims and have had no complaints in the performance.

SCOE 10x does work

AUTHOR: dazidoodles - ()

I highly recommend people not base their opinion on one consumer who had a bad experience (and who, by the way, used the product incorrectly).  This product DOES indeed work if used properly. And no, nowhere in the instructions does it say to "apply and let dry." On the contrary, it says the opposite -- product must stay wet for at least 20 mins to work. Saturation is best.

We've been using this for years and its the only thing that neutralizes cat spraying/marking odors. We've tried many other products before this one. When you spend a lot of money on your home and furnishings, you don't want them to be ruined by spraying. We have several cats and people who enter our home always say that it doesn't smell like we have cats. That's thanks to diligent use of SCOE.

I was skeptical at first too, but found it effective and worth the higher cost. I don't know why people are so willing to discount a product because of one or even two negative reviews.  I worked in a customer-facing job for years and yes, there are times where the "customer" is wrong, unreasonable and rude. And those are the ones who will spout off in public forums like this, not the thousands of satisfied customers.  So think what you will, but this product works and if you have pets it's a necessity. I will keep buying it.

Bio Fog is a great company

AUTHOR: Dean C. - ()

Scoe 10x is an amazing product and I have been using it for several years now.  I have used it in rental house carpet disasters, cat urine, dog urine/feces, vomit and most importantly (for me) deoderizing my bullet proof vest as I am a Police Officer.

One time I received a batch that didn't quite smell the same and looked like it had settled more than usual.  I made a few batches and wasn't satisfied but didn't complain until months later, when I did they sent me a new bottle of the concentrate that costs around $90 no questions asked.

I also spoke with the owner before I bought my first batch around 6 or 7 years ago and he was polite, informative and pleasant to speak with.  He took the time to tell me how the product works and how they developed it to remove urine smell from urine soaked mattresses and wheel chairs etc.

I only stumbled upon this ripoffreport site because I was getting ready to order my 7th bottle of Scoe 10x and was curious when I saw someone complaining.

One more quick story.  Skunk was hit by a car in my neighborhood and no one was going to stop and bag it up and go find a place to bury it.  I did just that but the smell was still there a day later and after soaking the area with Scoe 10x the smell was about 90% gone the next day.  I jogged by the area and noticed a slight odor but maybe it was because I knew it was there?   Either way, a second application would have knocked the smell out completely if I wanted to waste the product.

It works works works!

Happy Customer in California

AUTHOR: DMVantastic - ()

Too bad about the public tiff between the owner and his dissatisfied customer. Luckily I did not let that dissuade me from reading all the posts and then deciding for myself. I encourage others to do the same.

My outdoor cat recently became incarcerated indoors after being attacked by a coyote. After years of marking his territory outside, he proceeded to do the same all over the house. Feliway diffusers failed to calm him down and Urine-Off failed to fully remove his peeing and marking.

While continuing to research ways to calm down my kitty, I was desperately researching any product that seemed truly effective at odor removal. I got an SCOE-10X starter kit, followed the cat-urine instructions diligently, and amazed both my husband and myself with the results. Yes, Virginia, there really is a Santa Claus and he markets SCOE-10X.

I just ordered my third round of SCOE-10X because I want to ensure that I never run out of this cat-saver/home-saver/marriage-saver. If it weren't for this product, Mr. Stinky would either be running with the coyotes once again or else on his way to a kitty shelter. We simply couldn't stand the odor while trying to find a product to calm him down. (We just started kitty Prozac. Hope it works as well as SCOE-10X!)

Note that for my second order I got the cap-and-needle assembly for getting the product way down into my upholstered couch. What a great accessory it is.

I plan to update my review when the weather turns hot and all the urine starts to cook once again. The odors always returned with Urine-Off. I honestly expect a completely different outcome with SCOE-10X.

Happy trails/tails/tales to you...

To all you scoffers...

AUTHOR: CM - (USA)

All I can say is...if you have not tried it, your comments are a moot point. It just amazes me that there is only one person on here who actually tried it and is complaining...and he thinks bleach is better....well go ahead and put that bleach on your dark carpet and tell me how it works then. I have even went back to using Nature's Miracle and Urineoff and several other products because Scoe 10X is so expensive, but then I came back because Scoe 10X was the only thing that worked to eliminate the odors I was dealing with. I am so sorry for those who think it is odd that I come back here to post about how great the product is...I think the owner of the company SHOULD pay me to advertise for him so I could afford to buy more of the product but unfortunately, he is not. I am only coming back because I am receiving emails containing a link to this site because someone made another post to it. I just feel that it is really odd that someone who has not even tried the product is coming here to post negative things. If you have not tried it, you can not possibly know that it does not work, and you are a person who loves to post negative things.

Can SCOE get rid of this fishy smell?

AUTHOR: xavier999 - (United States of America)

Yet more "positive" reviews that go after anyone who criticizes SCOE. Add some more fish to the pile! I don't fault anyone for saying "this product works for me" but when you have so many supposedly random people that attack the original poster or anyone who would dare question Biofog it so obvious it is a bunch of shill reviews. By the way, there are some other complaints about SCOE and Biofog in separate reviews on this website.

Customers are not always right.

AUTHOR: CM - (USA)

As a business person myself, I can promise you that if someone called me and harassed me and was unreasonable, I would not consider them to be correct. Anyone who reads this stuff and does not try this product because of one person's ranting and raving is only cheating themselves. Go ahead and put up with your stinky odor or spend your money on products that do not work. I spent hundreds of dollars on products for my business that did not work. I have tried every product that exists and the only one that has ever worked is Scoe 10x. I think that most of the negative comments on here, especially by those who have not tried the product, are from people who have been solicited by the so called "disgruntled" customer who was just trying to get something for nothing. Throughout my 25 years in business I have had a few people do the very same thing to me, so I know exactly how people (customers) are. I do not need to have the business of someone who tries to extort me and I really don't think that someone who sells a product as good as this one, really needs to worry about this nasty customer or anyone who is influenced by him, because he will always have plenty of loyal customers who know this product works better than anything else on the market. Anyone who has really tried this product and used it correctly knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that it DOES work. I keep getting emails when someone posts about this subject and it is unbelievable to me that anyone with a true odor problem would hesitate to try this one just because one person posted a bunch of nonsense because he used the product and decided it was too expensive and made an attempt to get his money back from the company owner who saw through him. If you really have a true odor problem, this is the only thing that will fix it. It is expensive, but it is less expensive than a  new house, new carpet, new furniture or a new car.

Actually not a rebuttal..... adding to my earlier report.

AUTHOR: Rescue911 - (United States of America)

Just adding to my earlier report and thoughts on this product.....I still LOVE this product!! I have since gotten yet another dog. A Mastiff to be exact! She has urinary track problems and lives with a severely weak bladder. I am FOREVER working on my carpet to keep it clean and odor free!! If you have never seen a Mastiff, they are HUGE! My poor sweet girl is 160 lbs and she's still a puppy. She is constantly having accidents, and since my last report I have replaced the old carpet in my house. Not from odor..just because I very much disliked it!! It was berber, and a BITCH to shampoo!! Since every single day I am sopping up urine some place in my house, I STILL stick by this product!! Everyone who comes into my house knows about my urine problem with my sweet girl and everyone is still surprised that I have no odor problems. Which actually includes myself! I gotta tell you, I clean up a LOT of pee and this product never has let me down! I fully recommend this product to EVERYONE!! The arguements here on this site make me ssoooo mad. The people who are having problems with this stuff CAN NOT be using it right!!! Or they are just bored and need something to bitch about! Or even used it and it worked but are just out to get their money back, cause let's face it.....it's NOT the cheapest thing on the market. However, it WORKS better than anything I have found and Lord knows I have tried EVERYTHING!!! I hope they never stop making this product!! I have had many problems with finding something I LOVE and it ends up discontinued. Any woman can tell you about that!! Haven"t you had a favortie lipstick, nail polish, or blush discontinued???? Oh the expense and pain of finding a new one is exhausting!!

My name is Tracey Brown, I live in Mt Orab, Ohio and I stand behind my statements AND this product!! I don't put my faith in much, I have certainly been let down a LOT! But SCOE 10X will forever be in my cleaning arsenol!!

To "Xavier" concerning "Random" consumer reports

AUTHOR: CM - (USA)

I came back here because I received an email from "Rip off reports" informing me that there was a new post on this report. I don't think this can be considered too "random". If I had not received the email, I would not have come back here. I buy the product because it IS the only thing that works and I will continue to buy it until a better product comes along. I have tried EVERYTHING and to date, I have found nothing that is as effective as SCOE 10x. I could care less about the owner of the company or his alleged rudeness or any other arguments...I only know that the product is expensive, but it is the only thing I can find that will work. If I could find something better, I would buy it. If you think this is "random", you have obviously not used the product to get rid of the odors that I have...that would be impossible since you are NOT me. If the owner of this company actually did and said the things that people on here are accusing him of, he is a very poor business man and an idiot and the only reason he is still in business is because he is selling a product that really does work.

Great Company

AUTHOR: Spanky - (United States of America)

I just wanted to add that SCOE 10x has donated massive amounts of their product to the local SPCA I volunteer for. When It first came in I figured it was a no name company looking to get its product out and it barely worked.....boy was I wrong! Not only has SCOE 10x donated  large amount to us, it has made our shelter smell soooooo much better than it ever has! Many people are turned off by the shelter if it smells to bad and will leave quickly. SCOE 10x has allowed us to keep the odor to a minnimum which has led to more people staying in the shelter longer, which has led to more adoptions!!!!! Hopefully the owner reads this. I just wanted to say thank you.

I Love SCOEX10

AUTHOR: eleven cats - (United States of America)

I have eleven cats and one dog.  I have tried everything to get rid of pet smells especially cat spray.  SCOEX is the only thing I have found on the market that works.  People who come into my home can't believe I have so many cats.  What I like most about it is that it does not leave an awful chemical smell behind and I can spray it on anything and it does not leave spots or stains behind.

I have tried everything and scoe 10X is the only thing that works

AUTHOR: CM - (USA)

This is a wonderful product! I have tried ALL the other products mentioned or advertised and nothing took care of my animal smells but this. I will agree that bleach works, but there are lots of places it cannot be used because it damages fabric and wood floors. For the people that suspect anyone who posts on this Rip Off site, you may be right about some people, I suppose, but I am here because I use this site and because when I type "scoe 10X" into my browser, this site came up in the search results.

I could not imagine why someone would be posting negative things about this product, so I visited this site to see what was written here. If this product is used as directed, the results are miraculous. I wish it was not so expensive, but it is part of the expense of having pets, for me. Before I found this product, I spent hundreds on products that did not work, so that was a waste. When a product works as great as scoe10X, it is worth it to me. No one has paid me or coerced me in any way to write this. In fact, I am distressed because I have to buy more product because my husband used all that I had to clean the garbage can! He could have used bleach for that, but he was too lazy to go to the store!

Polar extremes never resolve anything....got an idea I'd like to share

AUTHOR: Beth - (United States of America)

This is the strangest forum I have ever been a part of. So many way negative people who are suspect of this product and many more of us who came to it's defense because we saw the injustice of what was going on.  And no, I will not use extra punctuation for the sleuth who thinks he's a criminal minds profiler. but I do understand your view cause I have also thought that strange if it's done to a severe degree.

Having read most of these I was amazed someone thought I am being bought by the company to write my praises. No I keep paying $70 plus dollars for the 64 fl. oz concentrate which lasts a while fortunately. I will post a pic. of under my sink so you could see it their, but you will probably think it was the owner's doing too. Concentrate to the left, spray bottle to the right, behind other cleaning supplies. I know it's a silly pic to share, but this is a silly forum.

I didn't seek this site out purposefully, but buying the product on the internet puts you in common areas of interest. My curiosity about who would think it was a rip off got me clicking, and after reading the vitriol, I thought I'd chime in with my success story to help counter balance the other person's "truth".  I think many of us who wrote good things might have done and thought exactly as i did.

I do wonder about the karma, (not Charma) that these people have with each other. Both the owner of the company and the one who wants to destroy him, are vibrating on the frequency of battle, anger and hatred, so neither is completely valid in his stance. You are both right and both wrong, in my opinion, on different aspects of your argument.  We all know how scary and dangerous polar extremes are.

I would like to share an idea for resolution and I have no vested interest in any of this.  I tried to get my email off this site but have not been successful yet so I thought I'd post again. Just a creative idea here mr. owner of co. I don't even care enough to scroll up and find it, no disrespect intended. Many of us know the product works and would love to be on your mailing list if you decide to do something as radical as I propose. Maybe some spiritual work on yourself to get your vibration up a bit higher so you don't attract any more conflict. Find out what your life lesson is around this. Then find a high vibrating lawyer, if their is such a thing, to discuss a different approach. Dissolve the company. Hire a good PR company with stellar customer service skills. Change everything, name, packaging, so forth, and start all over. Everything but the formula that is. Let us know, who have gone to your defense, so we can be kept in the loop. I keep this stuff with my other cleaning supplies all the time and would hate to not have access to it.  I can't use what's at pet smart cause it makes my house smell more like urine, not less. Don't want to bash them, but for me, it is true that the others don't work.

Well Ive gone on too long and of course people will not believe I am a real satisfied customer, but since I can't seem to get myself off this merry go round, I thought I'd try to help with a solution. for you skeptics, I do wish you could visit me in my home and see and smell for yourself, but I'm afraid even if you could, I'd get a really hateful person wanting to do harm to me instead. That's how scary polarity is. You can't prove anything to someone who doesn't want to know a different truth to their own. Look at our political system to see how obvious that statement is. You can read my post from long ago at Beth in Savannah.

Still happy with scoe

AUTHOR: Lisa b. - (United States of America)

Wonder why after posting a comment and checking the box not to inform me of rebuttals, etc..I still am getting emails? Seems many think positive reports here are fake. Well, mine is not. It eliminated skunk odor and I decided to take a few minutes and respond bc I am thrilled this works after trying so many that did not and want to help others. . The original poster did not use it right...honestly, the instructions are long and I can see how they could be misinterpreted. But, if it is used wrong the warranty is voided and you do not get your money back. Period. Customer in this case is not always right....perhaps had he been nice, he would have gotten his money back even though he admittedly voided the warranty and technically did not deserve it.

Fishy Smell

AUTHOR: EBAY INCENTS FRAUD - (United States of America)

After seeing the TV advertisement which instructs consumers to search online to see the over 700 positive consumer comments, although I find it poor advertising when this is the first sight to pop up.

I must agree the company needlessly escalated what should have been an easy fix with an unhappy customer.

And I too share with the belief of most that I would rather patronize another merchant.

It is very obvious this company is willing to go the extra mile to prove customers wrong, and it will clearly cost them.

Check your ego, the customer is always right, even when they are wrong, this should even out with on the rare occasions you may make a mistake that isn't caught, although you have made it clear you are perfect & only faultly customers are wrong.

Chalk it up to Charma, it will all come back.

Like another poster, I do find several of the positive posts extremely troubling, they are all using the same verbiage and odd punctuation, even more fishy is the fact they changed up after that post.

Bottom line, I don't believe 90% of the positive posts are legit.  As a consumer I would tell my family and friends about your product, not quite sure why so many people that enjoy your product would go to a complaint site to defend it?  Why would I be on a complaint board about a product I liked?  Either way I am associating your product with this fishy smell now.

I do believe my business is better deserved elsewhere. A shame because it looked like a promissing relationship at first.

I am a new satisfied customer

AUTHOR: Lisa b. - (United States of America)

I ordered scoe 10x for removal of skunk odor and it is the only product that has worked for us. The peroxide/soap and baking soda solution irritates your pets skin and does not work completely. I know this first hand. The solution we bought at pet smart likewise only works partially. I really am impressed with this product to the point i would like to become a distributor...although do not think biofog has any. But, somehow in my search i found this site. The biofake complainer has too much time on his hands sounds like to me and needs anger management classes.

Being a business owner i do understand customer service but I also know some people need medication, have too much time and just want to hurt you no matter what you do. No doubt in my mind this customer got rude and inappropriate. Anyway, my two cents worth. Biofog, if you read this, i wish you offered distributorships because your product is the only one I have found that totally eliminates skunk odor...and I am amazed and grateful..

Thanks for letting me know not to do business with you

AUTHOR: xavier999 - (United States of America)

I decided to do some research on SCOE 10x before buying it. I am so glad I came across this site so I know to steer clear of this company.

Any PROFESSIONAL company knows you will always have to deal with difficult people and they also know when you do you maintain your professionalism. If the company (or owner in this case) wants to say "I do believe my product works" that's fine, but to come and get into a petty bickering contest with a customer is absolutely ridiculous. Doing this on the Internet is as bad as doing it in public. I'm sure if you walked into a bank for example and the first thing you saw was a manager telling a customer how stupid he was and that he can't follow directions you wouldn't be very interested in doing business there.

It wouldn't even matter who was in the right or wrong, it's just unprofessional. On the other hand, I've been in businesses where I've seen customers get irate with the employees, yet the employees maintained there cool and handled the situation like an adult and not like a kid on the playground. They didn't get into a "he said/she said" contest in the lobby. Seeing the deal in the correct manner with that irate customer actually makes you feel you can trust that company to at listen if you have any concerns since you probably won't be yelling and name calling.

Also, I can believe the reviews that just say "it worked for me", but some of these positive reviews sound way too fake. Some of the people are way too aggressive in attacking the original poster and I suspect they are somehow affiliated with SCOE or its owner. Besides, the fact it worked for you does not prove it worked for anyone else. Unless you were there you don't "know" anything and I seriously doubt anyone is so in love with SCOE they will attack any of its detractors like a rabid pit bull.

So maybe it is a great product, but I'm not wasting my time with a company I can't trust to treat me with respect and in a professional manner. The very way the money back guarantee is worded shows arrogance.

It's Hard to Deal with Difficult People

AUTHOR: Hilary - (United States of America)

Personally, I can understand how the owner of a small business selling a good product could lose his temper with an irate, belligerent customer that is actively trying to destroy his business.   Yes the business owner probably should have just gave that guy his money back and ended it.  But we don't always do the best thing under difficult circumstances.

If the staff at Ripoff Report would actually test the products that get bad reports, we might avoid all this silliness about how everyone should have acted.

Let's just limit the discussion to something useful - like whether the product is a ripoff or not.  From my experience, the product works quite well.

I am a true customer

AUTHOR: SCO - (USA)

I have been reading this thread regarding this product for some time now.  I must mention that this product does work.  Say what you want, I have used this product for the last two years.  I originally searched the internet for something out there that actually works on pet urine.  Found this product and decided to order a small container.  I followed the directions and was amazed that the cat urine I was after came out completely.  The area I cleaned was a carpeted area.  When I ordered this product, I also ordered a top to screw on a bottle which was a fine needle and was able to saturate this product all the way into the carpet pad and onto the floor underneath.  I was really amazed to get rid of that aweful smell.  From that point on, I used it for many things and have ordered several container since.  So for those that say it does not work, I have to disagree on that.  However, the behavior of folks be it company owner or customer is another story.

Use Common Sense

AUTHOR: English major - (United States of America)

Since this has been a lengthy series of claims and counter-claims, I wish to point out only two things:

1. I, too, would avoid a company that not only engages in publicly arguing with a customer but also divulges that customer's name without his permission. The question about the effectiveness of the product is essentially irrelevant; the owner of the company has shown himself to be discourteous and unprofessional. Use common sense: if this is how this company treated this customer, how will you be treated if the product does not work for you? I'll spend my couple of bucks elsewhere.

2. Hasn't anyone noticed how the titles for all (most of) the positive reviews are punctuated with multiple exclamation points? And why, in heaven's name, would a person do a search for reviews of a product, only to find THIS site, if the product actually worked for them? One can only conclude that these reviewers (if indeed this is more than one person writing reviews) have been led to this site by the company to do damge clean-up, so to speak.

Scoe 10X WORKS!!!!!!

AUTHOR: Rescue911 - (United States of America)

I have been using Scoe 10X for three years now. I have three dogs and at one time had five cats also. So yes, I had some pet urine issue's and still do from time to time. I saw the ad for Scoe 10X on the internet and their demo video. I had tried everything else and spent thousands of dollars to rid myself of odor problems. I was skeptical of the video, as I know skunks can be descented, I at one time had a pet skunk also!!! However in frustration of trying everything alse on the market and a whole LOT of home remedies, nothing ever worked. In fact there were things that I tried that only made the smell worse. So I decided, what the hell, I have tried everything else, what can one more product hurt? Right? So, I placed my order!! I bought the trial size first. The day it arrived, I mixed it just as the directions inormed. Sprayed my couch and a rug, just to test it out first. I saturated the area's just as the directions say, and walked away from it. Left it sit for around two hours......went back to check out the area and see if ANY of the smell was gone. To my surprise....ALL the odor was gone!! I decided to spray a few more area's and let them all sit over night and dry. Upon waking up the next morning I was so excited to smell around my living room, I skipped my morning trip to the bathroom to smell the couch and carpet. The smell was gone ENTIRELY, and there was literally NO trace of odor at all!! Since buying that first trial size bottle, I have ordered three gallon of the stuff, I tell every one I know with pets about it, and have even told friends of mine that take care of the elderly, doing home health care. It works well on human urine as well! Speaking from experiance, I took care of my Mother the last thirteen years of her life and the last three she had bad incontinent problems. I will NEVER as long as this product is made and the formulation has not been changed, use another urine product!!! This stuff is truely amazing and I no longer freak out when one of my animals has an accident on the carpet or furniture. I personally don't think the company should even HAVE a money back guarantee, it's pointless! If you use the product EXACTLY as directed.......you don't NEED your money back because IT WORKS!!!!!!

SCOE 10X Worked great for me....

AUTHOR: Hilary - (United States of America)

My tenant in my rental house informed me that her old dog had been peeing on the carpeting in the sun-room.  She noticed a bad odor in the room and looked around until she found the spot.  The carpet wasn't in great shape anyway, so she tore out the carpet and saw that the urine had soaked through the carpet into the plywood underneath.

I researched the internet, looking for enzyme treatments for the problem.  I decided to order the 32 oz bottle of SCOE 10X, hoping that it would be enough to treat the 12' x 12' room.  I mixed it as directed and applied it with a thick paint roller, paying extra attention to the stained areas.  I covered everything with plastic and left it overnight.

The next day I uncovered the floor and discovered that not only was the bad odor gone, but the room actually smelled like I had just cut and installed new plywood floors.  All I could smell was the scent of wood.  Interestingly enough,  when my tenant arrived home from work, she called me to tell me the same thing!  She was very impressed.  I was too.

This product works if used as directed.

You know what they say....

AUTHOR: plaidlima-1@yahoo.com - (U.S.A.)

If it sounds too good to be true, it is probably not!

I was interested in a product like this and clicked a link to BioFog website, although I did not expect many negative reviews of product on the official company website, I was taken back how many 5 star reviews were posted, and not even one four star review ? So I checked Ripoff Report and saw this complaint as I suspected I may. IMO you don't have to be a rocket
scientist to figure out what is going on here, especially the unbelievable amount of allegedly satisfied customers FINDING and supporting companies product here on Ripoff Report in rebuttal (highly improbable).

I personally just bought a product at Pet Smart called 'Simple Solution' (32 oz. - $10) that has a money back guarantee that
worked great on couch upholstery our toy poodle marked (phew). I would recommend to author of this complaint for his floors 'Odor Ban' (1 gal - $20) from Home Depot that worked great for my crawl space sewer back-up (ugh).

For me I am now highly suspicious of BioFog, and will not consider their product/s.

Great Product!!!!

AUTHOR: Angie - (United States of America)

I was skeptical at first to use this product.  I read most of the reviews and decided to give it a try.  I was taking the carpet up out of one room and it had dog urine on it and found out the urine went through the carpet onto the wood.  I was replacing with hardwood so had to think of something quick.  Nothing I've used before works.  Vinegar and water does NOT work, believe me.

This product arrived and let me tell you, it is GREAT!!!!!  Best product EVER!  The owner is right, you DO have to use it just right and buy the right amount according to the size room or whatever your covering.  I used this product Thursday 10/6/11, it is 10/10/11 and STILL NO SMELL!

Thank you SCOE 10X and John (the owner) for such a GREAT product!  It's wonderful!!!!!

Satisfied Customer

AUTHOR: Laura Fortin - (United States of America)

I was just getting online to buy more of this product because it worked great for getting rid of (mainly) cat urine smell (when our cat was having urinary problems, he was peeing all over our furniture).  We also used it to clean up after our tenants who had animals (will never allow that again, btw!) and the whole place was kinda stinky.  Anyway, when I typed it in my search bar, Google suggested  "scoe 10x scam" so I thought I'd check it out and, to my surprise, came across this.  I didn't read through everything but I thought I'd add that I am a satisfied, returning customer.

P.S.  You do, however, have to use it according to instruction!

Glad I read this.

AUTHOR: Marie - (United States of America)

This dispute is like a public divorce, ugly and probably half-truths on both sides. I had considered trying Scoe 10x, but like most purchases I make on the internet, I do some research before buying something that's not easily returnable.

There appears to be reviews of this product both for and against the effectiveness of Scoe 10x. The reason I have decided NOT to buy this product is because of BioFog's quickness to trash other products in its quest to sell theirs, i.e. Nature's Miracle. If your product does what it says and you guarantee it 100%, why the need to trash other products which claim to do the same thing?

The other reason is in this day and age when competition for consumer dollars is high, customer service is the number one reason why people do repeat business. BioFog laid all their cards on the table by not just giving this person their money back. No harm, no foul. I think I'll try the $2.49 bleach first and then Nature's Miracle.

Re:Biofog is a great company with great product, original poster is full of BULL...

AUTHOR: hmdvos - (United States of America)

One wonders why a person would say they felt a need to stand up for John or claim this company has one of the most courteous, customer service oriented groups, and especially feel a need to attack the original poster when their situations were entirely different?
Why would what the original poster stated be termed as being (that) ...when this person stated no need, no reason whatsoever,  to contact this company's customer service?  A company's customer service can only be termed "great" or "courteous" based on their reaction to when something has gone wrong,  there is a customer's complaint, and that problem was solved in a courteous, professional way with, both the customer and the company happy at the end of their conversation.  Only then could a company be said to have great and/or a courteous customer service, and is obviously consumer orientated.

Was that the outcome after the original poster had contacted this company's customer service?  Obviously not.  There couldn't be anything more unprofessional or more discourteous that to have a spat with a customer on line and in public. What should have happened is what I read on another page: "We're sorry our product did not work out for you.  Please contact us again (in private).  We stand behind our product absolutely, will do everything we can to help you out in this situation" - period ....nothing else in public ...no feuding, no going back and forth with public "you said, or did,  this or that" and/or "he said, or did,  that or this".

Did that happen in the case of the original poster? Obviously not! The proof is right here, in public, for everyone to read.

This person can rightfully state "I ordered this product - twice", they shipped it promptly - twice, and it worked well for my particular situation - twice"  ...but no more than that.  Yet, that said,  this consumer or the original poster, is not expected to react in a professional way.  Only a company *is* expected to react that way in every case.  Having dealt with customer complaints for a large company on a regular basis, I find that didn't happen - rather sad.

Customer service, good or bad, doesn't prove whether this product works or not.  What this does seem to proven though is that if it doesn't work for your situation, there won't be any refunds.  Who would expect one anyway - if one had read at their site of all their many disclaimers? And that is where I would have gone - first - for something over 70 bucks a starter bottle, Yikes.

SCOE 10x DOES work

AUTHOR: Cottondeb - (United States of America)

I'm not sure about their etiquette when it comes to handling customers that call them, but SCOE 10x has been a godsend for me.  I read it VERY careful before I used it cause it was pricey for me.  It clearly states on it that you  must keep the surface wet for sometime and may have to do it twice if it's a stubborn odor.  It also is very clear the it won't work if it's not mixed right and used right.

I had carpet specialists in the past tell that it DOES help these kinds of odor killers if you cover them with a wet cloth so it can stay moist longer, so that sounds right to me.

I have been hunting for an odor killing product for a long time cause I have had puppies the past couples years that have left such a strong urine/ammonia smell in my house that it put me in the hospital.  I had an allergic reaction from breathing it in too much.  We replaced the rugs and once again, our dog peed on the carpet.  Once again, I could NOT get the smell out if it dried before I caught it.  I did finally find the Rug Dr product called urine eliminator to work but it had a smell that I didn't handle very well.   That product also required you to put a wet towel ontop of the spot after saturating it.

This is the only other product I have found that works and works almost instantly. I shampooed the carpet one more time, saturated the spot, rubbed it around good, and only had to reapply it on a couple spots.  My place smells brand new again.  WHAT a relief.  My guests can't smell a thing when then come here when I use it.

I don't know how the conversation went, but I do wonder if you had tried covering it with a wet cloth so that it stayed moist for hours if it would have worked.  I've never seen anything like it, really.  The only thing I can think of that it won't work on is if it's something that cannot withstand being wet for several hours without being ruined.

It does seem however, from some of the comments made on here, that Mr. Davidson needs to learn some work ethics on how to handle his customers.  He has such a good product.  I hate to see him ruin with with bad business manners.

SCOE10X Works!

AUTHOR: Pinky 2010 - (United States of America)

I hope the really negative review with the name calling does not dissuade people from trying SCOE10X.  I have used it many timesand it saved my cat from being exiled back to the shelter.  Before you use the product, take some time to read the suggested ways to use it on the SCOE10X website.  You have to understand it is not a chemical that is doing the work here; it is a living bacterial organism that goes after the stuff that makes the smell.  (don't worryit's harmless).  Once you understand what it is and how it works, then apply it to your specific situation with a little careful consideration.  There are also a number of reviews of the product on their site.  Other customers make suggestions that are useful in thinking through how best to use the product.   Granted, you may have to use a lot.  The product must come in contact with the urine and the bacteria needs to be there long enough to work their magic.  So yes, if you have a prolific pee-er, then it requires a lot of the product.  Think about how much urine a cat or dog voids at a time.  If they frequent the same spot, you have a lot of pee to go after.  My theory is that buying a good product that works and saves me from replacing carpet, clothing, couches, comforters, gymbags, towels etc., is worth the money.

BTWBioFog customer service, the guys in the lab and everyone there that I have spoken to on various occasions has been really helpful and I have had nothing but 100% satisfaction.   In many years of cat ownership, this is the ONLY product that eliminated the cat urine odor.  I have used the enzymatic stuff, but I think you end up dumping more of that with only a moderate smell reduction.  And it isn't cheap either.

Yet Another Happy Customer!

AUTHOR: SCO - (USA)

I am getting ready to order ANOTHER container of SCOE 10X.   About a year ago, I purchased my product and used it on cat urine in carpet/floor.  I was amazed how well it works.  Every now and then I have a cat that misses the box and with SCOE 10X it's not a problem as it removes the oder completely each time I use it.  In fact, I love that container with a needle type applicater that they supply.  It helps get the product down into and under the carpet and carpet pad.

So, since I would not be with out it, it's time to reorder.  This is the best product I have seen.  I'm very happy to have found it!

SCOE 10X does work

AUTHOR: Jim Price - (United States of America)

I have been using SCOE 10X for more than 2 years now.  We have a bad skunk problem in my neighborhood and my dog gets sprayed 2-3 times per season.  I have a 32 ounce spray bottle handy for when my dog gets sprayed.  I can tell you now that it does work and eliminates the odor to a degree that is almost completely absent.  Before SCOE 10X, we had to put up with the odor for a week.  My next door neighbor has 2 cocker spaniels and they get sprayed when my dog does.  I recommended SCOE 10X to them and they have used it about 6 months less than I have and are amazed how good it works.  I haven't found anything that works as good.

I am quite amazed that Ripoff Report has allowed the first responder to carry on his outrageous attack against BioFOG without any kind of proof.  Hopefully, BioFOG will use the power of the legal system to remedy the situation.

SCOE 10x WORKS

AUTHOR: Carol - (United States of America)

I absolutely DISAGREE with Mr. BioFake from Carllton, Georgia.  I have four labrador retriever dogs (big) and they are in my back yard alot.  Unfortunately, this means when I go out to take a swim in the pool, I get a nose full of urine and poop smell.  So, in order to enjoy my yard and my dogs together, I did extensive research and have used several products that guarantee elimination of odors of this sort.  The ONLY product that I have found actually works -- and I've been using it for several years -- is SCOE 10X.  It's an awesome product.

I live in Arizona and it gets hot out here so when the ground heats up, any pee or poop left in the ground really stinks to high heaven.  Left untreated, I would not be able to enjoy my yard at all.  So, the way I found SCOE 10x is the most effective application is I run my sprinklers on the lawn and water down the rock areas around the lawn.  I then apply the SCOE 10x while the ground is wet with a hand-held garden pressure sprayer and the odors are gone immediately!  The key is to ensure the treated area remains moist for at least 20-minutes, so in Arizona, that means I have to apply the product in the early morning! ;-)

Mr. Davidson, your product WORKS and I thank you for making a product that allows me to enjoy both my yard and my dogs.  Don't waste your energy on Mr. BioFake from Carllton who clearly does not want to settle the matter in a rational manner but rather chooses to be confrontational.  I will continue to use your product year-after-year for as long as you produce it!

Thank you!

Carol and my four big dogs From AZ.

The End

AUTHOR: Biofake - (U.S.A.)

Well, Im back. I just happen to receive an email from Ripoff Report alerting me that someone had posted a rebuttal, and I decided that I would give my final opinion regarding SCOE 10X, and address some of the other previous rebuttals.

Its been almost two years since I treated the floors with bleach instead of SCOE 10X, and I must say that my home as been stink-free ever since. By using bleach, I eliminated all urine odors from my house, for a fraction of the cost of SCOE 10X. Im glad that some of you found SCOE 10X to be effective, but in reality, you could have saved a lot of money by choosing a cheaper product.

To the guy in Hawaii, call it what you will, but when Ive been done wrong, I will spare no effort make things right. It may have seemed unbalanced to you, but I was merely taking the only action that I could take, with as much verbal vigor and force as I could possibly muster.

To Micheal in Hazelton, if you had read things a little more thoughtfully, you would have noticed that the lesson I was referring to was a chemistry lesson. And I challenge you to find anything inconsistent about my statements. The only inconsistency about this entire topic of conversation is that the bottle directions say let dry and the internet directions say keep wet.

And to Beth in Savannah, if by that type of person you mean someone who was pissed off because they got ripped-off, then you are correct. And Im perfectly content with my life, but I do resonate with trouble when it comes to SCOE 10X, because I dont like being taken advantage of.

In conclusion:

John, I win.

I dissagree with the fellow spewing hatred toward the owner of SCOE 10x

AUTHOR: Beth - (United States of America)

I was perturbed by this guy saying SCOE 10x was a scam. I got on my computer to buy more, and clicked this site to see how anyone could call this a scam. Turns out the fellow was just that type of person I guess, cause I'm buying more. He probably doesn't like many things in his life. This is my story if anyone's interested.

I have two male cats battling it out for supremacy in my home. eeek! They've been fixed, but it still happens. In this housing market, I can't afford to have my house smelling before selling, and I've tried so many products and behavioral efforts. I was hoping this would do what it said. I just got it yesterday, used it today, and it's like a miracle!!! I was ready to be disappointed, but I almost cried when I put my nose to the offense and it was truly gone! Took two dousing efforts, but I wasn't surprised. The tile grout smells like cement again, like when I first laid it! My base boards smell like wood again! It's as though time when back to my fresh clean house before I brought in these little rascal kitties. I do love them, I couldn't kick them out! Now the anvil has been lifted from my shoulders. I have six cats total and it smells like zero.

I'm sending this to the scam site to override that guy who so vehemently reamed out the owner of the company. The only thing I would ask the owner to do is ad more instructions about wrapping sub flooring in plastic to keep it from evaporating for these really gnarly issues like this guy reported. Some people resonate with trouble, so protect yourself from these types. Beth

Too defensive, Mr Davidson

AUTHOR: Mrs Doright - (United States of America)

I started to purchase SCOE 10x, but... because I was hesitant to order a product I had never heard of, from a company I had never heard of, I thought it would be a good idea to google it first just in case there were any problems with this company that I should be aware of.

What I've read is appalling!

The product itself sounds great, but I have never heard of any company, with any success under its belt, that treats their customers the way you did this one.

I can understand your frustration in dealing with someone who just doesn't see that they didn't follow instructions correctly, but what does it really cost you to just give the man his money back, and call it a day.  Just like the other post said.  Customer satisfied... end of story.

Instead, you've brought your company's reputation for customer service and responsiveness down to the worst possible level.

Are the instructions so confusing that you're afraid if you refunded one, the others would beat a path to your cash register for theirs?

Too bad you're the big fish in this little pond.  If you worked for me, you'd be fired.

You should have taken the high road, given your customer the benefit of the doubt, and the diatribe would never have hit the internet.  There's no way to tell how many potential new customers have read all of this and decided never to buy your product because of your poor attitude towards your customers.  They certainly don't all take the trouble to post their decision not to do business with you.

I hope you decide to change your customer service values, and leave your disputes with customers where they belong... in your own mind.

Good luck.

Not so fast, Stephanie...

AUTHOR: Michael - (U.S.A.)

In his complaint, 'Biofake' claims that he did not threaten John Davidson or employees of his company. Yet, I wonder what he meant by the last part of this comment, which was extracted from his 4/11/2008 diatribe:

8. John, you are no chemist....Come to my house and I'll show you what bleach has done for me and my home, and I might even throw in another free lesson.

Is the 'free lesson' a thinly veiled threat? If not, then I wonder what the 'free lesson' was supposed to be.

To Stephanie from Georgia, I'd say that I ordered the product, and set up an account just to respond to you directly and demonstrate that one person's inconsistent, rambling complaint against what appears to be a reputable company does not dissuade reasonable people from making purchases.

I ordered enough concentrate to make 1 gallon, and will happily provide an update after I receive it and use it. Unlike 'Biofake', I intend to read and follow the directions.

He said it perfectly on how you should have handled this. I was searching for a solution and when I read this article, I actually created an account to let yoiu know my opinion.
I'm sure the gentlemen from carrolton was rude to you, but I too have been there when an advertiser gets flashy with guarantees then when there is a problem, they play the blame game which frustrates and escalates the problem to a poiint where explatives are the only weapon a customer may have.
Well, he wins, because he was right. He just lost you my purchase of 1 gallon of product. And hey, I live in your back yard too, so I can share with friends.

I have read the negative reviews and I was somewhat skeptical at first but I bought a bottle. What did I have to lose? I have already spent hundreds of dollars on stuff that hasn't done the job. I followed the directions to the letter. I am impressed!

Trust me...I don't write reviews but this has got to be the best stuff your hard earned money can buy if you have pet odor in your carpet. Nothing else I have tried has removed the odor from dog urine...even old, old spots...totally!
Out of curiosity, I poured some on a mildewed rag and it did the same thing! The odor was gone completely.

There is one unsatified customer who used bleach and claims that it worked better? Bleach (even the fumes) can be toxic to humans and animals. It destroys natural fibers..ie: jute backing on carpeting and the tape used for seams on wall to wall carpet. Not to mention what it can do to "bleach stain" wood or carpeting.

It's obvious that more people have had positive experiences with this product and the company that markets it.

P.S. Nobody paid me to write this

This is in regards to a negative report on biofog's scoe10x. I bought this product a few months ago (i bought the starter kit so that i wouldn't waste alot of money if it didn't work), and I have to say that I have no complaints and I plan to purchase more. I have a small dog that was a stray (clearly not housebroken) and peed numerous times on my wood floor and one of my carpets. Both floors were stained and smelled badly. No matter what I did or used, it never went away. In fact, as many times as the wood floor was scrubbed, whenever it rained or was damp outside you could smell the foul odor. I tried "urine gone" but after using it a bunch of times (you have to repeat every few days with that stuff) all I smelled was a mix of pee and the nasty odor the cleaner left behind from so many uses! So, I oedered this scoe10x with skepticism. I was completely amazed by this stuff. It got rid of the odor (even the smell of the previous cleaner) also lifted the stains out of both the wood and carpet floors. My carpet is white and I could see it starting to lift the stains as I was spraying them. Mind you, these were stains previous cleaners didn't work on. You need to let the product sit on the affected area for a while before rinsing it in order for it to do it's job. So, if it didn't work for you, you must have not done something right and you shouldn't go making negative remarks about a product that does infact do as they claim. Biofog, thanks for making a great and afordable product!!!

SCOE10X Works Great!!

AUTHOR: Ron Howard - (U.S.A.)

First off whenever I find a web site with a very positive comment I usually suspect it is a company plant or employee pst just to make things sound and look good for any particular product. For those reading this I assure you I have no association with BioFog except as a very happy customer.

I am located in a very small place in Kentucky called Garfield, It's so small a place, about all we have is a post office, zip code and a BP station. Google maps can't even place it correctly but trust me it really exist and if you know the area or try and find the town just look about 4 miles to the east of Hardinburg Ky.

I have eleven dogs, three pygmy goats and three cats (1male, 2 females) The house has carpet in the family room and in the bedrooms, the rest of the house is hardwood flooring. For the most part and especially during the winter the dogs stay inside the house in the family room. On occasion the goats will come inside as well for a variety of reasons.

Anyone who owns pets knows that regardless of how much you try to eliminate the dogs from whizzing on your carpet or furniture that it's going to happen!! Male dogs will usually do the three legged salute to mark territory and any male dog following will have to follow up with his own mark.

As you may suspect it doesn't take long, especially during the winter months and rain days when the dogs have limited access to the outdoors that the carpet and furniture are going to get hit with numerous blasts of dog urine from both the male and females in the pack.

I tried everything including buying a $1000.00 steam cleaner, the steam cleaner is a big plus for cleaning and anyone that has carpet really needs to make the investment especially if you have animals, but it is NOT the solution to eliminate pet odor, especially dog or goat urine.

I originally ordered enough SCOE X10 to make a gallon, it arrived in a few days and I followed the instructions exactly, the instructions are specific about the amount and temperature of the water as well as how long to wait to give it time to activate.

The instructions also are clear that for the product to work you must get the product in contact with the source of the odor. Since I was treating carpet that had been saturated with dog urine, it was clear that for the SCOE10X to work I was going to have to saturate the affected area in the same way that the dog urine got there in the first place!!. Spraying it on top of the carpet simply was not going to get it into the deep carpet where the dog urine and bacteria were living.

On note here, while the urine ultraviolet lights are very useful for detecting urine, don't count on them to detect every bit of the offensive odor. Use your NOSE!! let's be realistic it's what you smell or don't smell that counts in the end. The ultraviolet light is a great tool, just be sure to get a good one but in the end use your nose!!.

I got down on my hands and knees and smelled the carpet. once I found the affective area I would try and determine the size of the area. I found that a hand full of pennies helped, I would lay a penny down and create a visual marker of the affected area.

Another thing worth mention is that is you have used other chemicals prior, you are going to have to get those chemicals out of the carpet. Clean water saturated into the carpet and then sucked out with a shop vac or carpet cleaner several times (depending on concentration) is my recommendation from my experience.

Once you are satisfied that you have removed any previous chemical or cleaning residue from any previous cleaning attempts are you ready to finally use something that really works!!

After mixing SCOE10X with the correct amount of water and at the correct temperature and then waiting for the activation time to pass I was ready to pour SCOE10X on the carpet. The area was marked as I mention earlier with pennies, I saturated the area throughly and after just a few minutes the odor was completly gone!!

The odor actually burned my nose before, especially since my nose was in very close proximity to the urine, and ow there was nothing, nada, zip!! after checking all the area's I had marked I still could detect some odor. I discovered I had missed an area that was very close to another urine saturated area, I treated it and bingo!!

I left SCOE10X on the carpet for several hours to insure it was able to kill the odor and then using clean warm water, I cleaned the area using my Rug Doctor using only water.

After all was done I can tell you that there was absolutely not even a hint of urine odor!!, this is the only product that has ever worked!!

Forget all the negative reports you may have read, this stuff works as advertised and it works great!!. Simply read and follow the instructions, use your nose!! clean and previous cleaning or chemicals from the area and you will eliminate the odor!!

Another SCOE 10X Success

AUTHOR: Mike H - (U.S.A.)

I recently purchased a home that has a 24'x24' sunroom that has a brick and morter floor that was never sealed. Before my purchase the home was in a lease/purchase agreement for a couple of years. The folks that had it kept 5 large dogs 24x7 in the sunroom. As anyone can imagine, no matter what cleaning a person can do had no effect on the smell. We tried most things such as pressure washing, hot soapy water, Smells B Gone, vineger, bleach, all to no avail.

Searching the web I can across the SCOE 10X and while it seemed a bit out there on claims, based on the description of how to mix it, I figured it must be enzyme or micro-organism based. So, having reached the end of many solutions without effect, I ordered one gallon of the concentrate.

I rinsed the floor again with the pressure spayer to remove any residual chemical and let the floor dry. I then mixed up four gallons in my pack pack sprayer and proceeded to spray every square inch of the room including side walls, windows, doors, ceiling and floor. The floor was soaked and I continued to spray the floor as the brick absorbed the solution. Once the four gallons was down I covered the floor with a plastic sheet used for protecting floors while painting.

After a week I removed the plastic. I left the room sealed for another week to allow any residual smell to come back. I am happy to report there is zero smell in the room at this time. I also carefully checked the floor with a black light which makes any urine easily show up. There is none.

Bottom line, another success story for this product.

I came across this product and currently use natures miracle which I think is an excellent product which does the same thing and is alot cheaper.
I decided to look into this product to see what has been reported.
I want to thank everyone for their posts. I came to the decision to stick with natures miracle which can be purchased at any pet store and works wonders on rabbit urine and cat urine, I can not comment on dog urine because I don't have that problem. I have determined that since the owner of SCOE10 down grades his consumer no matter what the issue and can not figure out away to resolve the issue and has not learned that in the business world the cutomer is always right.
I can not do business with a company like that. A smart business man would have returned the money, since all other postings on your sight were positive, to keep them that way, the return of his money would have done less damage.
All I know is, I will not be purchasing this product because of bad business practices. Natures Miracle again can be purchased at any pet store, works the same and is cheaper/no shipping and handeling.

I dunno, it worked for me!

AUTHOR: Gsd Rescuer In L.a. - (U.S.A.)

As noted in my user name I'm involved in German Shepherd rescue (adoption & fostering) so I have more dogs than average move through my home. By coincidence, 5-6 months ago I found myself fostering a recently neutered 8yr old male just as the female pup I'd adopted last year went into "heat" for the first time.

Whether her "heat", his age or possible lack of prior house-training or all/some of the above, he whizzed on the 5'x8' area rug just inside the door to the yard. This was a real problem as the rug was there to conceal problems with the floor that on my "fixer-upper" I hadn't yet fixed, both the old square floor tile had come loose and the cheap 3/8" plywood used to cover the original 1920 1-1/2 "x 6" fir flooring was delaminating.

It took several days to get a second person to help pull the rug out while I lifted the antique wooden desk that sat on part of the rug. By then, despite my best efforts (sneaky buggers!), both dogs had whizzed there a number of times. I was really bummed as none of the 5-6 commercial products or "home recipes" I'd tried over the years had really worked. One or two enzyme types had initially seemed to, but during "winter" (the wet season) in L.A. the dampness brought out a lingering smell. (BTW: Never use bleach or ammonia, both result in a dog-detectable scent of ammonia which, being a normal component of dog urine, can trigger indoor whizzing and/or "marking" behavior.)

I was bummed..., so I hit the internet. Bio-Fog was in the search results and being a company I wasn't familiar with, I only ordered a 32oz bottle knowing that in a worst case scenario, having charged my purchase, Mastercard would intervene in any disputes.

A 32oz bottle SCOE 10X makes about 2.5 gallons and I made 2-gal (@ 8-1 dilution ratio). I hung the rug vertically on a fence and rinsed it thoroughly with the garden hose. After it drip-dried I folded it up and placed it in a big trash bag with 1-gal of the solution to saturate it. Since the tile and plywood was already a disaster I had nothing to lose. Over the next 2-3 hours I wetted the floor twice with 1/2 of the remaining gallon each time and just let it air dry.

The next morning I hung the rug up to dry and dry-mopped the floor. To my utter surprise, there was no remaining smell on either the floor or rug. The floor took 3-4 days to completely dry but at worst it only smelled like wet-wood initially and once dry, like nothing had happened.

Two months ago my 12yr old Lab developed osteosarcoma and broke her humerous. Negotiating the steps with a broken leg made regular pit-stops less frequent and she got as close as she could (the rug by the door) so history repeated itself. I was so satisfied with my initial experience I went back to BioFog but bought a 64oz bottle this time.

I can't address the initial poster's experience as I've not tried to return or get a refund. But in my near worst case scenario I was more than satisfied. I'm no chump and was so satisfied I went back to them a second time and turned on some friends and my vet.

Will it work everywhere on anything? I've no idea, but for dog whiz in carpeting and unsealed (read-very porous) plywood it worked very well for me when I didn't think anything would.

I don't work for them, know them and never even heard of them until 6-8 months ago. I wish it was a bit cheaper, but then I wish the same about beer! ;-)

Follow the instructions: it needs 20 minutes of WET contact to work.

BTW: The concentrate has only a mild soapy smell. No chemical or perfume like smell.

Good Luck...

AUTHOR: Kathleen - (U.S.A.)

I've used SCOE 10X to get rid of horrible smoke smell in a condo a rented (unknowingly) to a smoker and also to remove cat urine smell from my home. Both situations are success stories. In fact, I will now use SCOe 10XS instead of Nature's Miracle for any other cat problems.

Biofog is a great company with great product, original poster is full of BULL...

AUTHOR: Meyoufools - (U.S.A.)

Hi to all concerned,

I really have to stand up for John and his company Biofog because they have been one of the most courteous, customer service oriented groups I have ever dealt with.

The first time I ordered I got the starter kit which comes with a measuring spray bottle and enough for 32oz. of product. That arrived within 4 days and I live all the way out in the middle of the pacific ocean (Hawaii to those of you that are having trouble placing it). As soon as I started using it I knew this was the holy grail of odor removal products. Imagine all the sales hype of every product that never worked or worked only minimally being fulfilled by the SCOE 10x. Truly amazing, and I have been battling cat urine on carpets for over 10 years now.

So I gave the years of cat stains the SCOE 10x treatment and they were gone gone gone... and so was my first batch of SCOE. So I went and ordered more. This time I got the concentrate to make a gallons worth and just assumed that since the first order had arrived promptly the same would go for this one. Well the USPS lost the original order and I notified John after about a week and he sent me a new order after tracking the first one and determining that it was lost. There was no hassle and it was handled with the utmost courtesy.

When the parcel arrived a week later I had one fresh box of SCOE 10x and one battered and bruised package of the original left by my friendly postman (like the postguys were holding it and decided to play pinata with one package then deliver both on the same day...weird I tell ya). Then I contacted John to get the original back to him.

Guess what he did, He said to keep both packages as they were feeling generous! That really made my day! Now someone who was not a courteous and kind businessman would never do that and I tell you the stuff really works great. Now I have enough to clean the entire house and then some.

So I guess my point is that I feel the attacks and allegations the original poster is directing against John and Biofog are really unfair. Actually it sounds like the guy is a little unbalanced mentally and is just spewing out some really nasty emotional garbage and unfortunately it got directed at a good guy and good company.

I will stand by this product and company as they have treated me very well. They have gained a lifelong, loyal customer by the service they have provided and I don't hesitate to recommend SCOE 10x and Biofog to anyone who needs odor removing cleaning products.

I got the scoe 10x in the mail mixed it with warm water and sprayed the seat covers down and placed then in a garbage bag. We after the first treatment they definitely smell a lot better. The odor is still there but at about 20% of what it was. I am going to treat them again tomorrow and see if I can knock the last bit out. The lesson for me is to never buy anything on ebay from someone named Phillip Morris or Joe Camel. Good lord this guys house must smell like a 40 year old smoke shack....

Last August I was cleaning the basement of a house I owned, getting it ready to sell. The basement was totally useless because of pet urine. I thought I would never get the smell out or be able to sell the home. I had to use about $300.00 to $400.00 dollars worth of the product to do the job right and had to cover the floor to keep it wet, as an unsealed basement is porous and the urine was totally soaked in for years.

This was the ONLY product that worked to TOTALLY eliminate the smell. I highly recommend this product to anyone.

Not interesting at all

AUTHOR: Bryce - (U.S.A.)

Why wouldn't the site take down the author's address and phone number? He is a private citizen, not in business. You are a businessman and your address and phone number is readily available to the public. No curiousity there.
I don't know why you wouldn't give a refund. If you satisfy the majority of your customers (or they are too fed up to bother complaining to you) you should be able to handle a refund. I do not see where you stated your 100% money back guarantee was conditional, and you did not say it did not exist. Give him back his money. A scammer should give back the money, but it seems you weren't smart enough to do that. You had to make him go to the BBB and attorney general, inviting all sorts of trouble for yourself.
You sure are a good one to berate someone on reading something accurately when you get the facts wrong and can't even read a simple report correctly.
Why are you comparing your quart of CONCENTRATE MIRACLE CLEANER to five gallons of bleach? It's a CONCENTRATE. What don't you understand? Bleach is bleach, not a concentrate.

Recipe for dog urine remover. (found on the internet) If you've got the time and the patience, you can easily make your own dog urine cleaner. This method is not only good for removing dog urine, but also for getting rid of dog urine stains. First blot up as much of the urine as possible. Then mix 3 parts water to one part vinegar and saturate the spot. Next, blot it all up again. After it's dried sprinkle the area with baking soda. Next stir cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide up with one tsp. dish detergent and drizzle over the baking soda. To make sure the hydrogen peroxide won't discolor your carpet, first try this concoction on a small inconspicuous area. Next, use your fingers or an old brush to work the baking soda in. I recommend a hairbrush with little bits of plastic over the tips. Once it's dry, vacuum it up. If there's still a slight odor or a little bit of the stain left when done repeat the process.

PEROXIDE. VINEGAR. WATER. BAKING SODA. DISH DETERGENT.
I could have all of that for under $10.

And you want $80 for that crap you're peddling? People just need to be educated that inexpensive things can get the job done. $80 is simply a scam.

Well done John!

AUTHOR: Montoya - (U.S.A.)

I came across the scoe product while searching for odor removers. The product marketing was very convincing but the reviews seemed odd. Almost too glowing. As a longtime epinions reader and contributor I can say for certain that *every* objective review will have at least 1 con whether its price or directions or service or even the color of the label on the bottle. Instead of ordering I decided to look for other, more objective feedback which I did find. Then I came here...

John, let me give you a lesson on customer service and professional reputation... Your customer is not wrong. He did not misunderstand you. If anything, you may have misunderstood him. He never threatened you. He never got obscene with you. He did not use your product incorrectly. You are working with him directly to resolve the problem and you apologize for any inconvenience that your product may have caused him. Ultimately you may even have to refund all or at least a portion of his money.

You have managed to get into a pissing contest (slight pun intended) over whether or not your product removed urine from his floors. Instead, you've convinced a lot of potential customers to steer well clear of you. Who in their right mind would want to do business with you after reading the words that you've posted here. Maybe you're right. It doesn't matter. Right or not, you've shown that you're willing to go to the mat to prove your customer wrong so that you can justify keeping the proceeds of the sale. That's just irresponsible on your part. I smart business person knows that it is never a good idea to get into a shouting match with a customer. Why? Because potential who read this might think. "I wonder if I'll be treated this way if I don't like the way the product works." Most people don't want to argue bottle vs. website directions. They just want to get rid of the smell of dog or cat urine.

You'll likely not return this customer's money to him. You have that right. But, in saving the $71, you've convinced me that I should continue looking for a product. Simply because I do not believe your product actually does what you claim. You are way too adamant about arguing semantics with your customer for me to think it works as magically as your site proclaims. Perhaps if you had kept your experiences with this customer a private matter I might think differently. I might consider that the customer did not understand the instructions but despite his failures, you, the company owner, stand behind your product. Instead you make excuses and try to tell the world what a bad person he is.

Next time try, "I'm sorry that you did not get the benefits from our product that you expected. Here's how I intend to resolve this issue..." See. You don't have to assume fault nor do you have to pass it on to your customer. I'll pass on your product. I don't trust you and I don't trust the product and I do not want to be in a position where I'd have to ask for a refund if I did have cause to do so.

Well done.

Well done.

John Davidson just cannot stop lying. I think he has a "problem" with it.

AUTHOR: Biofake - (U.S.A.)

We'll do this your way, John:

1. The directions on your bottle say to apply the product and "let dry." Why would I look on the internet for directions when they are already on the bottle? I know why, because the company you run has the intention of misleading customers.

2. I never admitted your product worked. I said and still say the exact opposite. Your product do not remove the odor of urine from the areas I treated. Period.

3. I never said I didn't purchase enough product. That's what YOU said during our conversation. In fact, I believe I purchased too much just by buying one bottle.

4. I used five gallons of bleach, yes, only because 2.5 gallons of your product, which is ten times more expensive, didn't work.

5. Biofog does service Carrollton, Georgia, where I reside, because you offered to come to my house to evaluate the issue for $350.00. I declined for obvious reasons.

6. I never said anything about kicking anyone's ass. I never threatened anyone. In fact, you first became confrontational with me by using abusive and insultive language. It's appauling to me that you suggest I was the one being offensive. And if I used every four letter word you've ever heard, then you don't watch enough T.V.

7. Call it slanderous, call it what you will. But, you and your product, are a scam. SCOE 10x doesn't work and you can write up as many testimonials as you wish, but I will never believe that it works. And it certainly will never be as cost effective as bleach or other chemicals.

8. John, you are no chemist. You a contractor who got the idea for a product from a buddy. Bleach and numerous other chemicals break down odor causing agents more cheaply and more effectively than your product does. I know what I'm talking about because I have done it. I have removed odors with bleach. And, John Davidson, you have my address and all of my contact information. Come to my house and I'll show you what bleach has done for me and my home, and I might even throw in another free lesson.

Notice that as hard as John tries to debate his position he never touches the fact that his bottle says one thing and his website says the opposite. That is because he knows what he is up to. He wants your money. Period. His money-back promise is completely useless. Use the product, find out it doesn't work, and John can come up with ten reasons why you don't deserve your refund.

To potential users of SCOE 10x: I am unhappy with Biofog. (Very correct, John.) I wasted eighty dollars on SCOE 10x, a product that does not work. If you have a bad odor, trust me, try something else before you waste your money on SCOE. And I'm not the only one unhappy with Biofog's product. Do some research. Look at what people not found on Biofog's own website are saying. The bottom line is that John's product is mislabeled and it is too expensive.

Mr. Hardegree proves us right

AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)

Mr. Hardegree, thank-you for exposing yourself and proving us right.

Let's review the facts:

1. You purchased a 32 oz bottle of SCOE 10X and with-out reading, comprehending or following the "urine on hard floors" instructions (which you admitted), tried using SCOE 10X.

2. You admitted that SCOE 10X did in fact work on some areas.

3. You admitted that you did not purchase enough SCOE 10X, yet you still wanted a refund.

4. You claim you used 5 gallons of bleach. Yet you only purchased 32 oz of SCOE 10X?

5. BioFog, Inc does not service Carrollton, GA. We would never offer to go there.

6. You threatened to "I'm gonna come to your office and kick your ass", all interspersed with every profane four letter word I have ever heard.

Mr. Hardegree, your continued defamation and slander of BioFOG, Inc. is truly exposing you to the kind of person you really are.

And as a note: please leave the chemistry lessons to people who actually know what their talking about. You obviously don't know how either SCOE 10X or sodium hypochlorite (common bleach) work. If sodium hypochlorite actually worked on urines, we would have never needed to develop SCOE 10X.

To potential customers: Mr. Hardegree obviously is unhappy. However, we do expect our customers to read, comprehend and follow the instructions. Our guarantee is based on it. SCOE 10X was developed for BioFOG, Inc.'s service division. We are the only company which not only produces, but also uses their own odor elimination product in the field. Please spend some time on our website www.SCOE10X.com and read the Reviews page where most of the reviewers use there first and last name and the town they live in. A testament to the effectiveness of SCOE 10X.

John Davidson, owner of Biofog, is a scam artist.

AUTHOR: Biofake - (U.S.A.)

John, whether you realize it or not, you and your company are a public figures. Your company releases its information in the marketplace each day, displaying it over the internet, making it available for all to see and use. And you, as the owner, are responsible for your company and you have to answer for your company's actions. The law does not grant you the same protections as it does to private individuals, such as your customers. So I am hiding nothing. I am merely asserting my rights as a citizen who believes I have been scammed by an arrogant, corrupt and misleading company.

Again, I state, bleach was more effective and less expensive than SCOE 10x. John would have you believe that no other product works as his product does to remove odors, but this is not true. John's product, supposedly, uses micro-organisms to break down organic compounds and organisms that cause ordors. However, bleach, rubbing alchohol, and numerous other products do the same thing chemically. Bleach and other products work by tearing apart the structure of organic compounds and breaking down cell walls of organisms (a process called denaturing). That is how bleach and other products are able to remove odors. And they do it at a much cheaper price.

My eighty dollars was nothing to John Davidson, as he told me, but by now I may have gotten my money's worth one way or another. I hope I have at least taken eighty dollars of John's time or maybe even prevented one other person from wasting their money on John's expensive and ineffective product. Sure, John can have a hundred "people" vouch for his product on the internet, just as I can have a thousand "people" who tell you aliens exist or Elvis is still alive or Elvis is an dead alien. Don't believe what you read and don't believe John Davidson.

Mr. Hardegree is the scammer

AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)

It is very interesting that this site continuues to let Mr Hardagree use my name, address and telephone number in his posts, but removes his name, address and telephone number from mine. Fair? Why is Mr. Hardegree hiding?

Mr Hardegree should lnow by now that it is impossible to eliminate urine odor using bleach. Anyone who has tried using bleach knows this.

Mr Hardegree admitted that SCOE 10X did in fact work for him, but since he had not purchased enough, he wanted his money back. Who's scamming who? It is Mr. Hardegree who is trying to pull a scam.

Again, the owner of Biofog is a liar...

AUTHOR: Biofake - (U.S.A.)

Thanks for finally responding John. Since you were to much of a coward to continue our conversation over the phone or attempt to reconcile our disagreement otherwise, now is the perfect chance for us to reach a conclusion.

As John Davidson is either a complete liar (as I suspect) or has a faulty memory, and his recollection of events is inaccurate, allow me to set the record straight. I will reply to John's response piece by piece.

I told John the house itself was 1,700 square feet, but that I was only treating certain spots within the house, totaling about thirty square feet. At the time of our conversation John said he did not know how much product it would take to treat the areas because it depended on the level of saturation. He said I would need to know exactly how much urine was in the OSB board (not plywood, John).

Just to be clear, to use Biofog's SCOE 10x properly I would have to know how much liquid volume of urine is saturated into the soild structure of wood. This is an impossible calculation, as I told John. But John had the answer. To properly determine how much product would be needed I would have to pay John three-hundred and fifty more dollars to have him come the house to personally evaluate the issue. (Someone thinks there time is very valuable don't they?) I sensed a scam.

Also, I said nothing of cat urine. All of the spots were from dog urine. Get it right, John...

The directions are the biggest area of contention. I was told that since I didn't follow directions properly I was not entitled to a refund. John said that I did not do as the website suggested and keep the area wet with product by covering it with plastic sheeting to prevent evaporation. However, on the bottle it clearly states to apply product and to "let dry." (One product, two different and conflicting sets of directions.) And because I let the product dry (as the bottle stated) John said I was an idiot who could not comprehend how his product was meant to be used.

In reality John's plan is simply genius. He has two conflicing sets of directions. So when you complain his product didn't when you kept it wet, he says the bottle said let it dry. And when it doesn't work after you let it dry, he says you should have kept it wet as the website suggested. Brilliant!

Finally, John was never threatened. He was asked to come by my house so that we could resolve this situation face to face, but he declined. And I suspect because he is a man of weak stature, my request may have sounded threatening to him. But I wish him no harm. I do wish that people see him as the arrogant low-life scam artisit that he is. And John the door is always open.

Even though I have a personal issue with John Davidson, the issue still remains of the product, SCOE 10x. The product does not work. It is ineffective. And the money back promise is empty. Biofog has been reported to the BBB and the Georgia Governor's Office of Consumer Affairs.

Don't waste your money. I actually eliminated the smell with five gallons of bleach, which cost a mere fraction of the price for SCOE 10x.

Mr. Casey

AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)

Mr. Order #xxxxxxx
Order Date: 2-24-08
Order Amount: $71.40

Mr. Casey called BioFog, Inc customer service on March 13, 2008 asking for a refund. He had purchased a 32 oz bottle of SCOE 10X which makes 2.5 gallons of diluted product. In the conversation, Mr. Caset said he was trying to treat 1,700 SF of plywood floor saturated with dog and cat urine. He was told a 32 oz bottle of SCOE 10X was not near enough product to treat this size area with the severity of the problem. The minimum required diluted SCOE 10X for this size job would be 12 gallons. Needless to say, Mr. Casey did not read, comprehend or follow the instructions.

Mr. Casey became profusely vulgar and belligerent. He tried to tell us we didn't know how to use SCOE 10X interlaced with explicatives.

He refused to accept the fact that he had not used SCOE 10X correctly. When he threatened physical violence towards the employees of BioFog, Inc., he was hung up on.

Our phone records show Mr. Casey repeatedly called our offices over and over again for hours.
