Blackhawk! Blackhawk Lifetime warranty on bags doesn't cover the zipper. Zipper can't be replaced by factory. Norfolk, Virginia

I purchased the "3-Day Assault Pack" in 2002 and used it periodically for the next 10 years, in a number of assignments.

The zipper began to failthis past Spring, and when I called CS and spoke w/ 'Deborah' (very polite individual) on 06MAR12, she notified me that the plastic zipper, now failing, was not covered under the warranty, and additionally there is no option to send it in and pay for a new zipper. I took the bag to a local tailor, who informed me the bag would have to be disassembled to have a more sturdy metal zipper installed.

I paid around $100 for this backpack made in Vietnam, and I expected a lifetime warranty more along the lines of what Sears offers for their made in USA tools. This company was incredibly successful throughout the preceding decade's War on Terror thanks to military sales, and I am deeply disappointed in their failure to fix my bag, considering their motto, invoking "Honor" as a way of life.
