Blessed Creations Sara Furno Angry Artist take revenge on buyer Internet
I discovered the beautiful world of Reborns two years ago and wanted one of my very own, after surfing youtube I discovered Miss. Furno and we became friends. She offered to make me a custom reborn and work with me on every little detail so I got exactly what I wanted. She offers payment plans as well, which are non re-fundable in full. (Which I understand the hindsight but in my case is exactly what I should have gotten!) So I went for it, and payed my $100 deposit. I picked out a kit and gave her the details such as hair color and weight.
Through the entire process of her reborning my doll I only got crappy quality, flip phone photos from a distance of my doll. (She does these for all her dolls) So to me the doll looked great! I lost my job at one point and asked her to hold on to the doll, work on other stuff she had going and I'd continue to pay for the doll when I got a new job. Her response was, out of the blue and snarky, "I'll just sell your doll to someone else." I was furious! It wasn't like I didn't want it or she had to wait several months (I had a job within 3 weeks) plus I'd already put about 250 on the doll by that point, which I would have lost for nothing.
I said "I'll lose all my money and I want my doll, im sort of attached to it already!" She said, "I don't care, if you can't pay you don't get it. End of."
I was frantic and spoke with my mother, who agreed to pay the doll off so I wouldn't lose any money. So Sara agreed to finish it after that little tiff but continued to post photos, I didn't see anything wrong.
She finished the doll but waited 3 entire weeks to post it. She didn't have a car, but I KNOW neighbours took her to the post office for the other dolls. On week 2 I'd asked a 3rd time, "Why haven't you posted it yet?" It was a very un-timely manner for a ''professional business" so she says. She went off on me about having MS and not having a car and that i wasn't going to get it at all if I didn't simmer down. So I gave her another week, still nothing. I emailed once more, a kind email of it's whereabouts. She simply responded with the tracking information. Thank you!
The real crime here is when I got the doll. It was HIDEOUS!! The hair was done VERY poorly, looked like little hair plugs, paint was think the doll looked orange, eyebrows didn't match, eyelashes were sticking out of his eyelids (not even in line with his eye crease at all) bottom of his feet looked bruised and his face was un-loveable. Also the lips and side of head had large streaks of paint down them where she flicked the paint brush to be mean. I paid $400 for a doll that was done without a care for the final result and I was not happy. I ended up crying over it, biggest mistake of my life. I tried to contact her...she had blocked me! So I couldn't give ANY feedback.
So I contacted PayPal, how she gets payment from people. They could only give me the final payment back IF i returned the doll to her. Which I knew she'd simply fix and resell and double her revenue from the doll and I was out half my own money. So I just kept it and removed all the paint and pulled out all the hair so it was just the kit again. With a hat on, it's still adorable but I wish I could pay to have it re-done and she gets what she deserves. All her dolls get rave reviews and I know it's because she screwed mine up on purpose. BAD businesslike in my opinion.
