Consumers, new home owners, employment-seekers, tax-payers watch out! This dynamic duo husband and wife team will get you! I am an ex-employee of the company and know their ways all too well!

First off, the two of them have filed bankruptcy several times under different business names and are very close to filing again. They will leave all of their customers with no blinds and take off with their money. This is what they do. They slowly accumulate emormous debt due to their lavish lifestyle, and costly addictions, and then they will take a deposit on as many jobs as possible and close up shop!

Additionally, they practially rape their customers with their prices and force sales people to charge their customers hundreds of extra dollars just for the sales person to earn what would be comparable to slightly over minimum wage. They are currently in such a poor financial situation that they are making their customers wait for weeks or even months to get their blinds installed because the company does not have enough funds to even pay the manufacturer for the goods to be delivered. Many times, a customers job is just sitting in a file for weeks before it is ordered as they scurry and find someone to steal from to come up with the money to pay for the order.

Meantime, they have a real nice receptionist who they will force to decieve you and tell you every story in the book other than the truth.... which is YOU MADE A BIG MISTAKE GIVING THEM A DIME! All of this is going on while they spend about a third of the year outside of the country charging debt to visit europe, aruba and other places many people will never see.

They steal from everyone who works for them. They find excises to illegally deduct money from sales people and installers checks, they keep the money with held for taxes from secretaries checks for themselves, They also force their sales people to work as "independant contractors" which affords them the right to pay them nothing, provide no benefits, carry no insurance. Plus when someome quits, they never pay them the money they owe them. They still owe me close to thousand dollars for jobs I sold and they never paid.

Greed has overcome them completely. They used to work with licensed installers who new the trade and cared about the customer. They have now fired all of the installers because they have replaced them with unqualified, illegal immigrants who will work for close to nothing. They dont care that these so called installers have no idea what they are doing while they attempt to install your window coverings that you may have paid up to $10,000 for.

And since these new installers have no eperience, insurance, no bonding, or license, guess what is going to happen if something is damaged in your home, or something is stolen? Well, there is nothing and nobody to cover it. And the business owners will simply ignore your phone calls and eventually tell you some story about how thw installer is an independant contractor and he had told them he was licensed and bonded etc. and basically explain to you that they are not responsible. And, if they decide not to pay the installer after that (which is what they will do), then, he can legally place a lien against your home where he performed the installation, and you will be legally responsible to pay him. Dont believe me, take a look at the small print on the back of a blinds 4 less invoice.

They are severely breaking the law by paying these people as independant contractors yet making them work under employee conditions, such as controlling their wages, stealing all extra profits in jobs, requiring them to report to the office and man the store for free, making them "check in" even on their days off etc.
They do this while they enjoy the benefits of making these poor people pay thousands of dollars out of pocket when an order mistake is made, in addition to arbitrarily deducting money from their paychecks each week to cover their own drinking and gambling problems.

They also have a 24 year old son who lives with them in his own studio apartment built below their 5000 square foot home. They have been scamming the welfare system for years stating that he is ill, and he receives government benefits while living in a luxurious home. He also just purchased a brand new Mercedes Benz convertible. This is obviously a nice way to spend our tax dollars!

Watch out! These people are big danger! And by the way, if you dont believe me about how they are planning to claim bankruptcy, take a look at the public records for businesses and the owners of them and you will see that Theodore Lozano opened another window covering business under his name only during the earlier part of this year. This is all part of their plan because the current company is in his wifes name.

Now why would he want to open another window covering business? To be his wifes competitor? I dont think so! Lastly, you may want to look up the public record information on these two in California, Arizona, and Florida and see just how many times these people have been sued or have sued others for the most fraudulent reasons!

As a professional consultant to this company doing business in California, I have observed directly the business actions of the owners and company. The comments I am responding to come from a very angry and bitter sales person who knew at the time of hire the duties and responsibilities of the position. The person reaped the profits while the construction era was strong and the telephone was ringing off the hook. The 1099 issued on the earnings will support this.

The complaintant has notified every government agency that will listen, and as a result audits have been conducted and the findings do not totally relate to what the complaintant is alluding to. The former sales person gets very personal by attacking them as individuals and even lowers his/herself to a low in regard to talking about their son who is indeed mentally challenged and who needs constant attention. The Lozano's take care of their elder parents, one with Alheimerz in their home as well as their son. The son is only able to work intermittently, but pays for his own car.

The sales prices of the products are average in comparison to the overall market and set by Hunter Douglas. A moderate profit margin is added to the cost as in most cases and no different than Home Depot or other large corporations. The decrease in the economy is causing a decrease in sales for the company as well as for all other business entities not in real estate related and that includes restaurants, coffee shops, truckers, etc. The monthly rents, employee taxes, are paid every month including the licensed professional installers that they use. The complaintant does not have access to the accounting or books and is only alluding to actions that are not fact. The claimant knew the term and conditions of the position and yet fails to address his/her own inadequacies for making mistakes and asking the owners to pay for them.

The Lozanos take vacations as they should but certainly not gone more than 3-4 weeks a year. Ted Lozano works 14+ hour days and is entitled to time off. They file their income tax returns and pay accordingly. The receptionist is a very competent employee and handles customer calls as best possible given whatever knowledge she has at her disposal.

This is not to say you should trust everyone in business or non-business entities, but a prudent buyer should always compare prices and not be allowed to be influenced by one person. Talk to other customers and get first hand information about the service, the product, and the price. Ask for a guarantee if there is any doubt and get the mechanic lien release so suncontractors cannot come to you later for payment. The State Contractor's Board has guidelines available on their website for your perusal.

I hope this helps and may the reader understand that a misgruntled sales person or employee as being claimed can certainly hurt a business and it's up to the buyer to distinguish that from true customer complaints.

I have worked for Blinds 4 Less for many years. Jessica worked there with me. She would not provide the customer service needed or wouldnt follow up with her clients so she was released.

Once fired she was upset so she said some bad things that are not true.

Blinds 4 Less would be glad to offer thousands of refrences of clients we have made happy! Please come in for some great service and prices - We have been in the area the longest and we always place customer service first.
