I do mind unauthorized use of my credit card.
When I asked the store manager how this charge appeared on my credit card, she explained that "someone came in and paid the fees." I quietly told her no one had "came in & paid the fees." She suggested I check my card for identity theft. I countered with, "The idea that someone would steal my credit card, and then pay my Blockbuster late fees is not logical."
The transaction detail from the credit card statement plainly states about the "method card number was captured" is "01-Card number manually keyed." Blockbuster is so busted. I am told that "someone" came in the store & paid the fees with the card, but the electronic record proves otherwise.
When speaking to the issue of my permission to use the card, my account with BBV is over ten years old & I did not have any credit cards at the time. Also, I have not signed an agreement since that time. Somehow, the store had retained my most recent credit card information without my permission.
I have no need for the drama involved, so I will simply go to the store, politely request all information about me is removed from their database. It will be my last visit. No hate and no drama.
Done! Moving on for now, but the transaction record has been printed & placed in a file for safekeeping just in case a class action lawsuit is ever filed. I will be more than happy to help.

$4.00 day X 3 = $12 a day x 8 days $96 in lost income for the company
or you can look at it as that 7 people weren't able to see the movie because you didn't return it... Now if you kept those three movies... $25 fee because there is time, gas. tax and the purchase of the new movie to replace the one you kept. So you cost them $96 & $75 = $171 in lost revenue .. which means it's $171 not going towards someones paycheck, bills or movies.
Now when you have 360 people who don't return and did the same thing you did -- you know it cost them $61,650.00 now that is a big lost.
So when you don't think what you did makes an effect ... it does.
Sometimes we don't see the longterm effects of when we are late with movies. Then when they have to close YOU will be the first to say.. I don't understand why

I haven't been reading much on the company.
Blockbuster will be history anyway because of netflix and red box. Seen a lot of red box all over the Philadelphia area.
Whom ever thought of the idea was a genius hate to say it.
