I purchased a vacation package from BlueGreen in Gatlinburg, TN for +- $12000 and put the charge on my credit card (mistake!!!!). Chanrge was on my credit card in two (2) days. they were very prompt in charging me! I was furnished a phone number with the name of my customer relations person and the Sales manager who helped my sales go through w/ the addage that with this number, I could call and speak to one of them personally at any time to sort out any problems with my package (Voicemail reply only!!!!!!!!!! Never a person). I called for five (5) days straight and left my name and the reason for my call. The voicemail assured me that any call received before 4 PM would be returned that same day (Wrong!!!!!!!!!) I left messages on all options given when called after the first day - NO REPLY.

I got home and recalculated the cost and found that it was not a good deal fpr me. I followed the instructions in my package and cancelled the contract within ten (10) days and sent the cancellation by registerd mail so that some one would have to sign for it.

I waited two (2) weeks and kept checking my credit card for the refund to be posted (Guess what - NO REFUND!!!!). I then filed a dispute for BlueGreen's charges with my credit card company to put the payment on hold. I found the corporate office phone number on the internet (since no reponse from "call anytime number") and finally waited them out for five (5) inter office transfers to the proper person who stated that there would be 20 days before this could be cancelled and the refund posted on my credit card. I waited 22 days, called again and was then informed that it would take thirty (30) BUSINESS days. This equates to two (2) months from the time the sale went down!!!!!

Then these people wonder why they have a bad reputation. A voice response from anyone with BlueGreen that would have actually had positive information about the cancellation w/ the amount and contract number would have helped instead of a person with no actual information - just stating corporate policy.

If I ever get a chance to attend their seminar again, I will take all or any "freebies", tell them I am not interested and walk out the door. SEE YA!!!!!!
