Blue Pilot Energy raised electric rates extraordinarily high without notice MD

Switched to this energy company after seeing advertised low rates of 7.9 cents/kWH in the summer.  Rates stayed low for about 3 months, then a slight increase in December to around 10 cents/kWH which was still not a big deal.  When January came the rate went up to 19 cents/kWH, double that of BGE's.  I called immediately to terminate service.  Terminating was simple and hassle free, but the operator said it would take about another month to actually switch providers!  

I was going to be stuck with another high rate bill from Blue Pilot Energy because they couldn't switch services fast enough.  When February's bill came in the rate had jumped again up to 46.9 cents/kHW, quadruple that of BGE!  I understand that the polar vortexes have hit and demand is high, but an increase of 400% over 2 months without warning AND the without the ability to switch out quickly is completely unfair.
