After an investigation by Rip-off Report, we found that Blue World Pools is actively resolving complaints and addresses contractor issues. This EDitor has reviewed the Reports regarding Blue World Pools and has found a real and dedicated effort by Blue World Pools' management team to effectively resolve past, present, and future complaints. Many of which were just misunderstandings and have now been resolved. Rip-off Report found that the number of Reports is so very small in comparison to its total number of customers. We did find some reports that may have been posted by a competitor. Some complaints came from people who did not even purchase a pool from Blue World Pools. Blue World Pools has worked with Rip-off Report to make the changes necessary to give consumers additional confidence and trust to purchase Blue World Pools' swimming pool packages. Blue World Pools ripoff fraud scam artists illegal conversion of funds Carson City Nevada
We were visited by the "high pressure" salesman on April 20, 2006 and told we had 5 days, until 4/24/06 to cancel. Feeling uncomfortable after the salesman had left (and only giving a $100.00 deposit) my husband and I decided to terminate the contract.
During the day on Friday, 4/21/06, "Jim" from the Finance Department called our home and left an answering machine message with a telephone contact number. When my husband called this number, lo and behold, it was disconnected.
During the evening of Friday, April 21, 2006 I telephoned the direct line to Blue World Pools and left them a scathing message about their scam and "fly by night" sales and finance department and cancelled the contract. On Saturday, April 22, 2006 my husband received a telephone call from "Jim" in Finance, confirming that our contract was cancelled. The best part of this story is that our contract was cancelled on Saturday, April 22, 2006 and yet on May 1, 2006, Blue World Pools went ahead and deposited our check.
On Monday, 4/24/06 we Federal Expressed to Blue World Pools (as their fax machine was "down" - yeah right) our canceled contract and requested the reimbursement of our $100.00 deposit, per their contract policy.
After several non-returned calls I finally spoke to someone in the sales department who snottily advised me that "you will have to send in a copy of your cancelled check". After obtaininng this document on June 7, 2006 I faxed a copy of the cancelled $100.00 check and requested our reimbursement. As of today's date, July 6, 2006, we have not heard a "peep" out of Blue World Pools.
My husband and I are considering filing a small claims case for illegal conversion of funds.
