Monmouth Toyota - Bob Ciasulli Auto Group ripoff 1st blown headgasket 98k 2nd blown headgasket 167k. 89 toyota pickup V6 Eatontown New Jersey

I bought an 89 toyota pickup sr5,v6,4by4 from a man a few towns over from me.He showed me all his reciepts from oil changes to some of the things that were recalled.He did exactly what was called for in maintainance requirements.The truck was in very good condition(so i thought).i drove the truck for 12 days and then i smelled antifreeze.I stopped the truck and then i smelled smoke.there was antifreeze coming out of a little hole in the muffler.I turned off the truck and realized what had happened.Blown headgasket.

I contacted the gentleman that i bought the truck from and he felt bad.And i truly think he did feel bad.He had every receipt and was the original owner and it looked like he took good care of it.He had a new toyota truck in his driveway and said i shouldnt have any problems with it.He called toyota for me to try and get some answers.He told me the service manager wanted me to tow it in and see if it was under warranty.All the manager needed to know was the vin number.I think he just wanted me to bring it in and rip it all apart and tell me it wasnt under warranty and then give me a bill!

I tried to call the service manager for the last 2 days and he didnt get back to me.I think im getting the cold shoulder.Its been almost 9 years and 70k on the replaced headgasket.I was told from a neiborhood mechanic that they reacalled the headgaskets again!He thinks it was around 98.Just around the time when the truck had the first one replaced.I was hoping someone had some inside info for me so i can get pointed in the right direction.should i go after toyota or the gentleman that sold me the truck?The only reason i bought this truck was because of toyotas reputation and ive heard so many good things about the V6 truck engines.With 167,000 miles and 2 headgaskets,something isnt right?
