They targeted my fiance, explaining how to "budget" to be able to qualify. Every time I tried to interject I was basically told to shut up. Exact words were "look how much he loves you....he wants to buy you a car....don't try to talk him out of this...it's because he loves you!"
Being the voice of reason I tried everything to get out of the deal, but basically couldn't. I walked out and let him deal with them. They needed a check for the downpayment and we told them that the money wouldn't be available for a couple days. Oh, no problem...they would hold the check until we brought them cash! Well, the next day they cashed the check!
Now we are stuck with this car that we can't afford and the threat of the bank taking it away is very real. Of course, Bob doesn't want to talk to us now....he has his money and we are stuck. Not to mention, the car was overpriced by at least 5,000.00!

- Then perhaps you should put the blame where it really lies. At your husband(?), because he is the one who didn't listen to you and get the hint that you need to leave.
If you learned anything from this it seems that you have learned that your significant other is not responsible enough to be left alone to enter into any contracts. Perhaps he will listen to you from now on. Since he got you into this mess perhaps you can make him pick up an extra job, even if it is picking up trash or cleaning restrooms.
