Beware of the Body of Change trainers working at the following Summit County, Ohio ASF Fitworks locations: Fitworks Chapel Hill, 1944 Buchholzer Blvd., Akron, OH 44310 (330-630-3861) & Fitworks Stow-Kent, 4301 Kent Rd. Unit 26, Stow, OH 44224 (330-688-0862).
The Akron & Stow-Kent Fitworks Fitness Centers truly do a disservice to their members by subcontracting to & bringing in trainers from Body of Change. Fitworks members shouldn't have to feel like they need to change their usual workout times & clubs in order to avoid facing high pressure solicitation from Body of Change Trainers.
After working out at the Fitworks in Akron, OH for nearly 3 years, I was recently targeted by Body of Change Trainer Frederick Mills. He learned quickly that I wasn't appeased with his overly flirtatious ways, yet he continued to follow me around the gym to correct my technique with using the equipment. Despite women reporting Fred to BOC General Manager Michael Gentile, Fred continued to lay it on heavy with the women.
A Fitworks member, who is a parole officer, former correctional officer in a local prison, informed one of the women to be careful with Fred. He told her Fred Mills is a multi-felony holder, on parole with Oriana House, and she should not relinquish her credit card information with him nor leave her child with him. Fitworks have playland areas for children while the parent(s) work out.
I chose to avoid Fred Mills by changing club locations. I discontinued with the Akron Fitworks and drove the extra distance of a few cities away to workout at the Stow-Kent, OH Fitworks. A few weeks later, Frederick Mills appeared at the Stow-Kent Fitworks as the new BOC General Manager. Since he is now the general manager at the Stow-Kent Fitworks, I will be changing club locations once again. I am unable to discontinue membership with Fitworks because I am under contract.
Fitworks needs to bring in legitimate, competent personal trainers; Body of Change trainers are destroying the image of the clubs. The clubs didn't have drug & theft problems until the Body of Change trainers were brought in. I'm sure the club can find buff trainers that haven't spent years perfecting their weight lifting techniques in their cells from behind bars.
Note: Body of Change employees (trainers & managers) may have extensive criminal backgrounds. The company does not run background checks on their employees. Do not give BOC employees any personal information, especially credit card numbers. Do not leave children with BOC employees. Be careful. Don't be scammed.
Body of Change hires convicts and residents of Oriana House, Inc. Oriana House, correctional facilities throughout Akron, OH, serves as transitional housing for former prisoners before they are released into the community. These former prisoners leave to work at regular jobs within the community while they stay at Oriana House. Because the Akron & Stow-Kent Fitworks are nearby the many Oriana House facilities, Body of Change's staff may consist primarily of convicts and or persons with criminal behaviors.
Body of Change brings the criminal element and discomfort into clubs. Call Fitworks at 1-877-FEEL-FIT Ext #2 and let them know how you feel about Body of Change. Report the unprofessionalism and concerns of Body of Change staff. Fitworks should not associate with such a disreputable company. Fitworks should rid Body of Change from their clubs, and keep the felonious trainers out. Let's keep our gyms safe.

Frederick Mills is the Body of Change General Manager at the Stow-Kent Fitworks.
Michael Karban is the Body of Change District Manager Cleveland, OH.

Frederick Mills, 39, of 526 Water St. Chardon was charged with Possession of Crack Cocaine after officers were checking for drug activity in the parking lot of Miller South. Officers recovered a rock of crack cocaine.

Rest assured ladies. Word is Fred Mills will be fired in the next week or so. Body of Change is in the process of interviewing for his job right now. It took a couple of months for the company to gather complaints & evidence from members. Fred regularly exposed himself and wrote many sexually explicit love letters to members. I guess the company finally decided to do a background check too. Fred's longest prison sentence was for rape.

Mike Cross is the ASF Fitworks Area Director/ Director of Marketing for Ohio. His contact information is 1-877-FEEL-FIT Ext #3206. I'm sure he'd like to be filled in about what's going on at the clubs in the area. Both Body of Change & ASF Fitworks are setting themselves up for lawsuits.
I am personally upset that this Frederick Mills is able and allowed to use the Fitworks' computer. Body of Change staff have their own computer and should not be allowed to freely use the computer that holds all personal info about Fitworks' members. I've observed Frederick Mills use Fitworks' computers on many different occasions. He has no right to be looking up Fitworks' members' home addresses, phone numbers, and credit card information. Frederick is not only a threat to Body of Change members but to Fitworks' members as well!!
Oh yeah.. Frederick Mills is currently in the business of selling leather coats, and other leather products, that he frequently steals from Wilsons Leather in Akron, OH. I suppose selling clothes is safer than selling drugs.

Summit County is aka The High Point of Ohio for a reason. What do you expect from a county of felons? Oriana House brings in that criminal element and it is then there too stay. Heck, statistics from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation show that 124 meth labs were discovered in Summit County from 2001 to November 2004 (Leader Online www.akron.com). Summit County is just a breading ground and home for future criminal action. If you are not a felon or criminal, then you should not be living in Summit County!
Me and my sister Andrea went to Kent State University and avoided Akron like the plague.
Body of Change also hires Bally's Scandinavian rejects. Frederick Mills was fired on the spot as a trainer at Bally's Scandinavian soon after they ran a background check on him and found he has many felonys and has been to prison many times. I think they are let out of prison to fast once a criminal, always a criminal. Fred is a good salesman (scammer great at ripping off people), but he cannot keep his temper in check or his penis in his pants. And we did not want the drugs being infiltrated into the club or take the chance of somebody getting violently raped.
