Then they said it was stated in a brochure they sent with the product and that it was my responsibility to have read the brochure. I returned the product in its original unopened package by certified, registered mail on July 29. One of their employees, Sam Grote signed for the return on August 1. I also notified my credit card bank and had them put the second charge in dispute. Yesterday I got a letter from Boland stating that I would have to complete an enclosed form, sign it, have it notarized complete with notary seal or they would not honor any charge back or give me a credit.
The fun part is the form starts off " I don't wish to have better orgasms and then several questions to be answered. They recommended I take the form to my bank to be notarized. I guess they think people will be too embarrassed to do this and they would be off the hook.
I'm a retired banker so I didn't have a problem getting it notarized without the notary reading it. I sent the form back to them today all signed and notarized and can't wait to see what happens next.

I have made it a point to never, ever, under any circumstances, purchase anything that is not available in a retail store.
Until the consumer wises up, these type of companies will continue to prey on the "sucker". Remember sales #101. "It's a numbers game."
Just don't let yourself be one of those "numbers".

The ignorance of the consumer is not the issue here. The issue is that many companies have used this ignorance to prey on people who are willing to shell out an awful lot of money for garbage that is purported to be superior to traditional medicine. More specifically, the issue is that many such companies have begun using "autoship" and "recurrent billing" programs that further decieve these poor saps into wasting even more money on a product they have found out first hand does not work.
So, while I agree with you that our culture could use a little education on "junk science," and I too hope that some of these people learn a lesson from this experience, I think your victim blaming is a little inappropriate.

OK, Lets Learn From This

Some herbs can boost your sex drive, if you take them in MASSIVE quanities (almost the equivelent of half a $60 bottle of these stupid pills you bought from some lame magizine ad).
If you want the herbs why don't you go to a reputable health food store and buy them for the $3 a bottle they're actually worth, and plan on eating about half a bottle A DAY of the stinking things.
I still think its hysterical what stupid things people will fall for (trying to catch my breath). Ok lets be reasonable, intelligent grown ups here and send a written letter with our signature on it telling our credit company thet this product does not deliver the results it promised.
Now lets call or write the stupid snakeoil salesmen and tell them that we aren't paying for the pils they sent us and that if they'd like them back they can send us a return shipping box. Now if they mail us any more magical penis pills we're just going to write "refused delivery return to sender" on them and if any more charges apppear on our credit card we're going to call or write our card company and say we didn't order any more penis pills and we never signed any penis pill contract.
And next time we see an advertisement for any tapes or videas that will magically change our lives, bracelets or pills that will make us feel better/ lose weight, hypnosis tapes to make us lose weight, pick up the opposite sex, or stop smoking we're gonna remember what a pathgetic sucker we were with the stupid penis pills and not fall for it!!!!!!!!!!
I was ripped off like so many others but would like to know what paper work is supposed to come with the shipment. I did not recieve anything except 1 bottle of mioplex. I did not know of the "Auto-ship" scam. I did receive a a paper with the "Auto-ship" you sent me without my requesting and you charged my credit card without my permission.
I have reported this to the Better Business Bureau and will pursue it farther.
There is enough going on in the world without people like you ripping others off.

Now, doesn't this clearly explain the "autoship" program and that they are going to ship to you every 60 days?????
This is the only language in the brochure, where does it mention "AUTOSHIP, Mr Boland?????

What we have is an autoship program, not a "subscription" program. Included with each shipment of our product is a piece of literature fully explaining how our Established Customer Program works. It also includes a toll-free phone number for the customer to call and cancel, no questions asked. This is a program we put into place as a convenience to our customers and was a result of numerous customer requests, who obviously disagree with Mr. Gammage's opinion on the value of the product.
I find it unfathomable that an individual, such as Mr. Gammage, would purchase a dietary supplement and not read the literature that comes with it.
Our Established Customer Program is widely used by many companies, such as Time-Life, Columbia House, and BMG and we certainly do everything in our power to inform the consumer.
