Someone has stolen my old boost mobile phone, and reactivated the account. Not having the phone physically, I was unable to look up either my # or the phones serial number, but was able to provide any other information about my account- registered email address, pin #, etc. I phoned the company who were not helpful in shutting this down, even when I told them I am certain someone is using the phone for illegal activities. Eventually, I was patched through to a "senior supervisor" who identified herself only as Amanda. When I asked for her last name, she provided only "smith", which just sounds fake to me, but maybe it isn't. Ms. Smith refused to provide me with the contact information for their legal department, although I asked her several times to do so. This is a matter of public record, and I have looked it up myself, but it is VERY poor practice to refuse that information to your customers, especially when they believe a fraud is being committed. Not to mention that Ms Smith told me herself on the phone that whoever stole my phone now has access to my sensitive personal information. I simply wanted to shut down the account, but they have made it nearly impossible to do so. I am having my attorneys send them an injunction to have it shut down, but it should NEVER be this difficult to resolve an issue with someone stealing your phone/identity/account information. Refusing outright to provide me with contact information for the legal department is unacceptable.

four hours (ok, only three hours forty minutes to be fair) later I have now spoken to seven different individuals both within Boost, and it's parent company, Sprint. The last person who claimed to be an executive with sprint- though I doubt it- I would think they would promote mostly those with a mastery of English, some customer service skills or both- and each one has refused to give out any information on how to contact the corporate attorneys. Ok, the last guy gave me a P.O. Box registered in London, Ky- not where their atty's are based out of (matter of public record). What is going on at this company? why go so far out of their way to avoid helping me shut down a fraudulent account?
