Bose Corporation - Bose Wave Radio CD Player Rip - Off Framingham Massachusetts

Bose makes and sell the Wave Radio famous for the big sound of their little speakers. However, their cd players are a total disaster. Most of the problems stem from a poorly designed cd lid/cover on the older models. The lid has a latch/button on the side that is depressed when the lid is down and allows the cd to play only when closed. Sounds like a good idea, but it is very touchy and apparently easily screwed up. If you send it back to Bose it'll cost you over $300 plus shipping. They'll claim to have fixed all sorts of stuff, when it's almost always the side latch/button. If you don't pay they have another item to sell.
Current front feed and multi disc players have their own problems, usually jamming up and getting stuck in the players.
If you want a great little radio and don't mind paying a bundle for it, Bose is the ticket. If you want to play cds thru it , hook up another cd player and run it thru the back or the pedestal (if you bought one).
EVERY Bose cd player I have personally seen is screwed up. They make great little speakers, don't assume they make decent cd players.
