Please beware of this company, Boston Energy Advisors.  They are NOT in the Mass Save Energy Rebate program.  They are not an approved vendor.  they do not get you the rebates.  The rebate program they claim to be a part of now is called NHEEP.  There is no such registered program with any utility or government agency.  NHEEP is made up.  They are simply raising the prices and giving you $500 off.  If you call Mass Save Direct they will confirm that this company is fraudulently representing itself and is NOT a part of their program and they are taking legal action against them.  Robert Rae is a snakeskin salesman telling LIES.  I repeat, there are no rebates and they are not a part of the Mass Save Program.  They just use the term "Mass Savings" to trick homeowners.

Mass Save - Ripoff Rebuttal

AUTHOR: boston energy - ()

5/1/2013 Ripoff Report article is associated, with the Ripoff Report filed on 4/23/2013 but includes more details such as pending litigation, knowledge that would only be available to insiders of NSTAR, National Grid, or those associated with the RCS Network (operates and administers the Mass Save Initiative aka Mass Save Program) an unincorporated collaborative association of Massachusetts utility companies that include NSTAR, National Grid, Cape Light Compact, and the Berkshire Gas Companies, Frank Geata Esq. is their attorney and spokesperson). No one else would have this specific knowledge, and for the record I just learned about this pending litigation on that very day. This knowledge alone makes and secures the connection to this article (full of very harsh slanderous words) along with a registered and lodged e-mail address.

The RCS Network is represented by the law firm of Rich May, any pending litigation would begin there with Frank Gaeta as the Attorney and spokesperson for Mass Save, and no one else (other than those giving him orders to litigate) would have this specific knowledge as to pending litigation as mentioned in the Ripoff Report, slander article. The RCS Network operates and implements the Mass Save Initiative, according to Frank Geata. Mass Save: The ultimate Scam?

The general public has been misled into thinking that the Mass Save Program is a State operated, administered, and funded Program, full of energy efficiency freebees such as “Free Light Bulbs”. To verify this statement of deception just ask anyone this question, “Who operates, administers, and funds the Mass Save Program”. The answer will be the State of Massachusetts or the State; you will never hear The RCS Network (Utility Companies) uttered as the correct answer. However, in the very small print on some of the Mass Save web sites; they describe Mass Save as a partnership between Mass gas / utility companies, local sellers (for profit companies such as Next Step Living), and installers (for profit companies such as Next Step Living) of home energy conservation products. Either way there is no mention of the State operating and administering the program, as we are all lead to believe.

One might argue who cares, I like freebies and that’s what they give me (Free Light Bulbs). I would come back and argue at whose expense. In 2011 the utility customers were billed $550M for participating in this program and only $39M was paid out on energy efficient benefits (Mainly Light Bulbs) and only a small percentage of customers benefited. Where is the remaining $511M dollar? Answer is: Big Utility Company’s control the $511M the bulk of the customer funded money, when is enough, enough? It looks to me it just another source of revenue for the utility companies to get richer at the expense of the public.

Information I have been able to access indicates the Mass Save Program, boasts about paying out $39M in benefits for so called “light bulbs”, rebates, and incentives in 2011. Income for 2011 was reported at $550M (up from $200M in 2009, if the trend holds 2013 could be $1B of income).

The funding for this program is coming right out of the pockets of utility customers, (that are currently struggling to pay their outrageous utility bills in tough economic times) and the $550M is being controlled by the Utility Companies (known as the unincorporated RCS Network) – not exactly what is being projected or portrayed, is it? Just to be clear $550M comes in and $39M is paid out in benefits; my math tells me $511M needs to be accounted for. In addition I have a feeling our money is being used to run negative ad campaigns, such as the one that aired in 2011 against the home heating oil companies that went like this; Its Dirty, Its Crude, It doesn’t matter what shape the economy is in, It can’t wait to get its hands in your Wallet…...Its Home Heating Oil…. In my opinion it was a criminal ad campaign, funded with our money – I can’t imagine this is something that would make the State of Massachusetts proud to be a part of. It’s hard for me to believe it takes $511M to operate and administer giving away $39M in benefits to a small percentage of the people that contributed to the program. Where is the opt-out option or is there one? Why are we being forced to participate in a program that, greater profits the utility companies?

In my opinion this could be the SCAM of the century, and to make matters worse, they will continue to grow and gain credibility as it appears the politicians and media are aiding and abetting their efforts. The State of Massachusetts is getting credit for operating and administering the portrayed wonderful Program. The Utility companies are controlling Millions of our dollars without our knowledge, and making us believe we are getting a wonderful deal full of Freebies.

If I was unaware of the above information before becoming a Bully victim, it’s easy for me to understand why the general public has no idea or clue as to what is really taking place, and its all at our expense, in a time we can ill afford it. I haven’t even addressed the quality of the Mass Save energy audit or solution work both of which miss the target let alone the mark, along with using outdated materials. The bottom line is it’s a scheme designed to get a for profit company like Next Step Living in the door to sell other big ticket items, and just maybe the sales tactics they use are the very ones described in the slander article they accused me of. Furthermore, no one from Mass Save even has seen one of my audits or solution work results.

The Blessing here may be a wake up call for Massachusetts residents and business owners.
