In the advertising for employees, Boston Market says they train their new employees giving applicants the impression they accept inexperienced employees.

That is not the case.

In reality, Boston Market wants employees who have some experience working in restaurants. Not only is this obvious on the application, but I was told this by the manager of our local Boston Market in so many words.

I tried contacting the offices of Boston Market regarding this issue to perhaps edit their advertising. That way inexperienced applicants will not waste their time applying for a job they will not win. I did not receive any kind of a response.

I am posting this to help make other job applicants aware of this situation with Boston Market in the hopes of saving them from making the same mistake I did.

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

who wants to work for them anyways

AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)

I worked for Boston Market in 1997-99 and it was your typical fast food job. except one day I showed up to work and their was a padlock on the door and a note saying how they had lost their distributor and had to close. My final paycheck bounced! causing tons of bank fees. I was a member of a class action suit which basically came back with that fact that the "west coast division" was bankrupt and the only people getting compensated were the attorneys (typical). Less than a year later another Boston Market opened up about 5 miles away, but I have yet to be compensated for my paycheck. Screw them! You dont want to work for them anyways!
