Bottom Line ULTIMATE HEALING Books Hugh Downs, Big Fake RIP OFF Des Moines, Iowa

This was a "cold call" to my home after I had signed up to subscribe to the newsletter known as "Bottom Line."  My wife was not aware that I had also been called some years earlier, and had purchased these books in a similar "cold call." I was aware of Hugh Downs as a respectable TV news Commentator. I remember when his show followed him through his Bilateral Knee Replacement Surgery some years back and it was a legitimate show that was very informative and interesting. I am a Nurse Practitioner with 38 years experience and I was interested in some of what they were saying about alternate medicine, and I trusted Hugh Downs as their spokes person. All of that was a terrible mistake. These books are useless, as is most of the information in their Bottom Line Newsletter.

Mr. Downs has sold his integrity for a "few gold coins." I know that many TV personalities do this when they get older as they cannot stop their lifestyle when there are no more jobs for them in legitimate entertainment, so they go the way of spoke persons and trade off their integrity to support themselves in their old age. There is nothing worth the $83.80 my wife paid for these books, and I can say that because when I purchased these books I sat down and went through them throughly and found nothing of value in them. They are packed with unproven, untested hearsay that was used just to fill the books which have impressive names and covers. There is nothing ULTIMATE about these books and it is nothing more then "Snake Oil" on a printed page. Please do not be fooled by these books or by Mr. Downs claims of Ultimate Healing...
