 I recently purchased a $70,000.00 vehicle from BowMel Chrysler in Duncan, BC. The vehicle, a Dodge is great! The dealership, BowMel Chrysler located in Duncan British Columbia is without a doubt the worst automotive dealership I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with!

 To make a long story short BowMel Chrysler treats their customers like garbage, all they care about is selling you a vehicle and jamming you with whatever extras they can slide under your nose without you noticing. For instance, I get a call regarding having the vehicle treatments I ordered applied... What treatments??? I never agreed to purchase any treatments, nor was it explained to me that I was purchasing any treatments!!! That's right, they added in undercoating, pait protector and interior protector without me even knowing and I paid them $2500 for this!!!

If that isn't bad enough, when I got my vehicle back from having the treatments applied there was clearly more milage on my vehicle than when I dropped it off (and not just a few kms, how about over 100kms) and there was a bunch of drywall residue scraped into the new rhino liner. Obviously, someone figured it would be OK to use MY truck to move some drywall... And this is just one of the three dealings I have had with Bowmel at this point!!!

 On another occasion, I dropped my vehicle off to have the bed cover installed and I was assured I would have a loaner car ready. Well, any other dealership that I have purchased a high end vehicle from goes out of their way to make sure I have a comparable loaner... Not Bowmel, I ended up driving a mid 90's heavily used minivan that smelled like someone used it as an outhouse for the last 10 years!!! And to top it all off, I had to call BowMel several times to let them know my bed cover was there because the salesman had informed me that it was. It took an entire week for the service department to figure out that the mysterious bedliner they had at their shop was mine!!!

So, this brings us to today... I have another service appointment lined up for some aftermarket parts to be installed (which by the way is double the cost of any other local company that offers the exact same parts). I get to the dealership to drop my vehicle off and get my loaner that I have called in for 48 hours in advance to make sure I don't end up with a disgusting van again. Well, wouldn't you know it... I get there and what is waiting for me... you got it, that same POS van!!!

Completely unimpressed with BowMel and how they have handled me as a customer I took back my keys and left. This will be the last time I ever deal with BowMel Chrysler!!!! I get back to my office and I get a call from an employee of BowMel, who's name I can't recall but he assures me that everything will be taken care of and apologizes profusely for the crap customer service I have received to date. He says he will call me back in 5 minutes with a proper loaner lined up and will have my vehicle serviced and returned on time.

30 minutes later I get a call from Andre Foksowicz the general sales manager for Bowmel Chrysler who is without a doubt the biggest douchebag I have ever had the displeasure of speaking to. Andre Foksowicz actually used discrimination as justification for poor customer service and tried to raise his voice with me. Andre Foksowicz is a complete jackoff! After hanging up on Andre Foksowicz I called around and found out the exact same aftermarket parts are readily available at less than 50% of the cost charged by BowMel at many other local automotive parts stores, and having a third party instal these parts DOES NOT void the warranty like BowMel Chrysler had tried to tell me.

As of today I have filed a formal complaint against BowMel Chrysler and urge you to do the same if you shared a similar experience when dealing with BowMel Chrysler. You can register a formal complaint against BowMel by contacting Chrysler Canada at 1-800-465-2001. Do yourself a favor, if you are buying a Dodge or Chrysler in the Cowichan Valley go to Nanaimo or Victoria and avoid BowMel Chrysler like the plauge... you will be glad you did!!!

So then, why are you surprised about these extras? Why? Because you didn't read what you were signing BEFORE you signed! How is that their fault?
