I was always in Special Education while in school. When I graduated from Forrest High School in Jacksonville, Fl, I received a Special Ed certificate. I was not qualified to be accepted into their programFlorida. Department of Vocation and Rebil helped me beginning while Iwas a junior in high school. I was sent to dept of Fl's pyschogist and my iq tested. It was 75 which my Mom realized was trainable. Everest which the school is now called accepted me into the program and began getting loans of which I never saw. I studied very hard the best that I could and failed one mode which they told me was ok. When I went to their first graduation in November in 2006 or 2007 I walked across the stage believing that I had my degree. Once the graduation was over, I looked at the paper work in my cover and found a note that said please go to the office. I was told that all my loans had to be paid off before getting my degree. The federal loan department told me that if I had borrowed loans for my education that I should have gotten my degree so that I could find a job to begin paying loans off. Everest now tells me that I withdrew from the program but I never would have gone to a graduation if that had been the case. Now I owe the money, have no degree and paid Everest $ 3,000 made by me with my part time job and my parents. I can't go to another school because these loans haven't been paid off and it makes my credit look bad Now Everest requires a GED or Diploma to attend their school. What a rip off
