I took my 2009 Chrysler to Brake Masters in Albuquerque to have a brake shimmy checked out. When I came back an hour later they were just starting to look at it. After several people walked around it I was called in and shown the rotors on the front that they said had cracks in it (I saw no cracks) they also said my pads were bad, when I explained that I just had the pads checked at the dealer they said "oh there ok but you should change then with the rotors". I was told the rear rotors needed to be resurfaced and when they showed them to me I questioned the marks they had put on them and they said "oh they need to be replaced also there cracked also". Then they showed me the rear shocks that had a couple of drops of fluid on them and told me they needed to be replaced also. When they gave me the quote I asked "why do you have the filters for my engine on here when I just replaced them"? they took it off immediately...then I questioned the prices and showed them their add for discounts...they said on one that it was for rear disks not drum..when I pointed to my car and showed them it had disks they looked confused and changed the quote. They also did not add the braked pads and when I questioned that they said they had made another mistake. I asked them to put my car back together and after another hour I got my car back and went to the Chrysler dealer. Amazing to me and the dealer in the short drive over to them I had no cracked rotors and only needed my front rotors resurfaced and NO new pads since my current ones had over 50 percent left and were in great shape. As for the shocks....they were not bad either. Total cost out the door,,,$120.00. After writing this here I am writing the New Mexico Attorney general.
