Rip-off Report REVIEW:

Rip-Off Report Reviews Brandstar Entertainment, The Balancing Act, Designing Spaces, Kitchen Spaces, W The Women's Show.

As soon as the postings hit ripoffreport.com making claims that Brandstar Entertainment and shows such as The Balancing Act, Designing Spaces, Kitchen Spaces, etc., were scams the owners and operators of those and the related companies had a feeling of dj vue.. They had experienced this type of posting before in their long-standing corporate history (the owners of Brandstar Entertainment did not open their doors yesterday.. they have been producing national television shows for over 15 years!) In fact in checking the authenticity and source of the postings Rip-Off Report discovered all the IP addresses were sent out of the same computer and/or similar locations in South Florida around where an ex disgruntled employee lived. None of the complaints had a valid email or contact information and the numbers were disconnected when they were called for further investigative information to the validity of the complaints.

See this LINK, you will see, every Report filed was filed by a competitor literally located down the street, Rip-off Report verified this, every report was bogus.. dj vue..

What was unique though was that unlike many companies exposed on the rip-off report, Brandstar Entertainment knew they had nothing to hide and they had experience in dealing with these types of obviously bogus postings before having been involved previously in the Rip off Reports Corporate Advocacy Program with their direct response company Incredible Discoveries. They immediately contacted rip-off report and stated:

As you have experienced from us before, we're an open book and have absolutely nothing to hide. Investigate away. Just like you did with your report filed for Incredible Discoveries. In fact we are happy to cooperate and welcome the scrutiny. As a legitimate company we look at any investigation as an opportunity to expose what we feel is a greater injustice... cyber bullying and an attempt at corporate revenge by what appears to be a disgruntled former employee and/or client.

Having received input and support from the company directly, we nonetheless set out to independently research the claims that were being made against them. It was a pretty simple investigation actually. We went to the companies' related websites for the shows listed. Looked for the proposed airing schedules, networks, etc. and located the airings of the shows they produce. We tuned in at 7AM on a Thursday on The Lifetime network to see if The Balancing Act does in fact air as promised and sure enough it does. Every weekday Mon-Fri. and furthermore the segments were also posted on the Balancing Act's website for further viewing. One by one we tracked down and verified the shows being produced were in fact airing on the networks they said.

We then independently contacted some of the clients that obviously were featured on the show.. not tough to do since again their segments are streamed on the websites for Designing Spaces, The Balancing Act, etc. and lists countless fortune 500 companies including Microsoft, KFC, Nissan, etc.. Too many big name companies to fake. If the owners were in fact padding their references I don't think they would be able to fake out companies like the ones that were featured on their shows. Probably the best thing about investigating a company that produces TV shows is that there should be something on their shows on YouTube and other search engines consumers and us can actually see for themselves what the shows look like. We found plenty of their segments to watch. We're not in the TV Production business but we youtubed a few segments from the shows and they did not resemble anything we ourselves would not consider a quality Television production worthy of airing on national TV.

In the end the experience of investigating Brandstar Entertainment, etc. and their involvement with our Corporate Advocacy Program again shows that not all companies are scams just because they are listed in rip-off report and that the caveat of having open un-censored forums for any and all consumers does require the same fairness in vindicating companies being bogusly listed and unfairly targeted. We here at rip-off report want fairness and accuracy and by being able to investigate this company and ultimately discredit the initial posting we feel we are also an advocate for the good companies that are doing what their clients pay them to do.
