We were sold a timeshare in Texas and were promised money for renting our points through Point Rental Li quidators, but haven't recieced anything. No one returns our calls and now the mailbox of BJ's staff is full. Everything he told us was a lie and now all we have is a big bill. He gave us his cell # 815-970-0400 to reach him any time but all we get is his voicemail.

I didn't buy from this BJ Cooke, but his rebuttable is a lie. There are people at Sunset Harbor Resort who answer the phone, but they can't give you any kind of information and when I ask for Bill Mitchell or Tom Turner, they are never in the office, and they don't answer their phones, either. I have made numerous attempts to talk with someone in authority at Sunset Harbor, but they refuse to return my timeshare funds and will not offer any solution to the fraud they have inflicted on dozens - if not hundreds - of timeshare buyers. Do not be deceived by anyone representing Sunset Harbor Resort - you will be scammed just as we were.

I to have purchased a Texas timeshare and membership in PRL. B J Cooke is a liar. I have been in this for almost 2 years and am still waiting for a pay off from his company. I understand that he is no longer in business , thats just awful, I am out 10,000.dollors for this and all I have is that stupid Sunset Harbor timeshare that keeps billing me although I paid my fee on time. I have since hired an attorney and hope to have some type of satisfaction from this.

We also were ripped off by Sunset Harbor Resort. We purchased our timeshare in 7/31/2012. We were promised money to rent out our timeshare as well by Sunset Harbor and PRL in Las Vegas. PRL has since closed and Sunset Harbor refuses to return phone calls. As of this date we have not even received the deed to the timeshare we purchased which was due within 90 days. We are going to small claims court against them. should anyone what to contact me regarding this please contact me at (((email redacted)))

I have still never heard back from BJ Cooke and PRL is a fiction and fraudulent company. Do not ever sign anything that involves BJ Cooke. He is a criminal and a liar. Sunset Harbor is kust reaping the benefits of BJ Cooke taking peoples money and promising to sell points for them and guaranteeing them a check in return. It will never happen. I wasted $9,000 and now I have a timeshare with Sunset Harbor. Have you seen the reviews on that place, yikes. Point Rental Liquidators is not a company. I believe they have one person working answering phones and delaying everything until people give up trying to get what promised like I did.
I filed a complaint with the BBB and BJ Cooke responded that he would pay back my $499 for payment into PRL but do nothing else. This is a major scam and BJ Cooke should be in jail.

Face to face we told BJ he was a liar. Assured us he was legitimate, but 3 years later time has proven Cooke is a fraud, and liar. He has stolen so much money from so many people. It is 1 to 15 years for his crimes. It is only a matter of time when he will be the new whore on the prison block. I feel sorry for his family. We know where he lives, and so does law enforcement. They are coming after you BJ !!

If it were true, Bj, why haven't you returned our calls either? We have made 15, I repeat, 15 calls to you and Sunset Harbor and have never received a return call until last week when someone left us a voicemail. Then a lady called us back today and "couldn't help us resolve anything" so we asked for a manager or supervisor....guess what? It would be at least 48 hours for someone to call us back. We have 5 timeshares and have never had the first problem with RCI, II, Spinnaker, or Holiday Inn Vacation Club. We call them, we talk to a live person, we plan our vacation and that's it. 24/7! You sat at the table and told us to our face that you were the one...and you would personally speak with us and you gave us your cell phone number. You said we would have our books within two weeks, a check in October or November and that we could plan our vacations for the next two years within two weeks! It has been over 60 days and we cannot even get anyone to talk to us let alone receive ANY correspondence in the mail! We are talking $8560 here, that's no chump change! Piss poor customer service and/or no response at all doesn't spell trustworthy company! Maybe this will get us some resolution. If not, our attorney will.

i don't know what happen to the other person, but BJ Cooke rented my timeshare for me and his company helped me in so many ways. Are you sure you are calling the right number???? BJ got me my check about 3 months after we signed up for a little over $9,000 .... You must be doing something wrong. I'm looking forward to doing this again next year.....Good luck and make sure you have the right phone number....AS

Pretty Sure PRL is a scam

I too made this mistake of paying an upfront fee of $499 to BJ Cooke so he would guarantee us 8.5 cents for every point we sell. The day we signed up for RCI through Sunset Harbor BJ told us that in usually in 3-6 months you will be able to sell your points to PRL and receive a check. He then proceeded to say that things are ahead of schedule so most likely around Thanksgiving we would be able to sell our points to PRL. Nothing happened. I too could not get in touch with BJ as his voice mail box was always full as was his assistants voice mailbox. I left multiple messages with him, emailed him and even contacted the PRL corporate. They finally got back to me and stated that it is looking more like 6 months and the end of January when we could sell our points ot PRL. It is now February 3rd and I have not heard anything from PRL or BJ Cooke.
It has to be a scam. Everyone who is reading this do not pay the $499 and fall for the PRL pipe dream. It will only frustrate you and put you out of a decent amount of cash.

This is Bj Cooke. The only time my cell phone doesn't get answered are the couple weeks a year that I am on the road. I know his client said she couldn't get a hold of anyone on my staff yet Sunset Harbor Regional office has live people that answer the phones literally 24-7. Even on holidays. December and January are the worst times of the year because of how many people are depositing units. Not to mention I had gastric bypass in December which really got me behind. If you were to try to call me now you would get me. SUNSET HARBOR PURCHUSERS: I ASSURE YOU THAT NOT ONLY DO WE HAVE A 24 HOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE BUT THE ACTUAL RESORT IN WILLIS, TX IS FULLY STAFFED AS WELL. I have hundreds of thrilled people with our service. I have been doing timeshare enhancements on the road for 8 years and this is the first time a confused person has complained about our services. Also, Point Rental Liquidators is a guaranteed point rental company that pays out in 6-10 months from deposit date. You won't find one person that has been in that long of time that is unhappy. Chalk this post up to ignorance and lack of patience. Thanks for reading.
