I ordered a costume from Brenda Shaper 3/14/10. I requested my costume be sent to me by 6/2010 and did not receive it until the END of 7/2010. This was AFTER the event I was going to wear it to. After the payment, she had horrible communication with me. She would write reasons about her delay saying she didn't have enough fabric and needed to order more and that her computer broke which is why her responses were sporadic. Regardless, my order arrived very late and was not as agreed.
When the costume was received, it was not the right color, it fit badly, it was baggy. In fact, the costume was not even completed! Parts were missing and she gave me temporary replacements to wear which were in a different color and material. A very humiliating thing to even offer as nothing matched. And the fact that it was a month late was just unacceptable. I sent it back with numerous emails and messages asking for a full refund. It was not worth the frustration of dealing with this vendor. I felt that I was treated very unfairly as a customer. In the end, she barely sent me half of my refund. $50 in the form of a personal check which came 3 months later. It's now 2/2011 and I'm still waiting for the rest of my refund. After emailing, I was told I would receive the rest via Paypal once her funds cleared.
She actually tried to offer me a different costume as an exchange. It's not what I asked for and I did not accept.
Definitely will not deal with again and would caution others from using her services.
Since then, she took down her Yahoo Business page that had an upset review from me. I left messages on her YouTube videos which she removed. I contacted her previous customers asking about her service. After so much work on my end was she able to give me my partial refund. It's so sad to have to waste my time to get my money back from her for her services.
