AVOID BRIGHTON TV AND VIDEO SERVICE AT ALL COSTS!!!

I called Brighton TV Service to get my LCD Samsung repaired because it would not turn on. They told me it would be $25 to diagnose my television which was no problem that was cheaper than anywhere else so I took it up to them.  My TV was on the wall so it did not have a stand so they charged me an extra $15 on top of the $25 which I felt was unfair but I accepted. Upon arrival I was very skeptical of this place. It was a DISASTER with stuff scattered everywhere. There was so much stuff that they only had a small area on the front counter to do business. I dropped my TV off anyway (March 15th 2013) and they told me I would hear from them on Thursday….. This is when all the “wonderful” customer service starts.

Thursday came and I never heard from them so I called them Thursday at about 5:30 (they close at 6:00) but no answer so I left a message. [continued below]....

..... I got a call back from them the next day (Friday) saying they had to replace the power supply and the main board and it would be done that afternoon (GREAT THAT WAS FAST….SO I THOUGHT). I went up there Saturday morning when they opened to get my TV. They brought the TV out and plugged it in to test it and it was doing the exact same thing (not working). The guy at the counter grabbed the TV took it back into the back and said someone would call me on Monday (REALLY?)

Once again Monday came and no one called so I called them and they stated they had to replace more parts and it would be done Tuesday. Finally got a call from them Thursday and it was ready to be picked up. I got the store, paid the $238.00 for the repairs (Would not accept credit card for purchase over $200 so I had to pay with debit card or cash) . So I got the TV home it worked for a little over an hour and it stopped working again. So once again I had to go back to the repair shop that Friday to drop the TV back off.... Same story…. You will hear from us on Monday. Well once again Monday came and went, so did Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and finally Saturday I was sick of waiting so I called them and they gave me some story on how they work extra hard to make sure the issue is fixed this time. 3 months since I dropped it off day 1 and I still do not have my TV back. I have made several calls to them and they give me a different story each time….”it’s on the tech’s desk” “just waiting on parts” “we want to make sure we fix it this time” “someone will call you back”…Excuse after excuse on why it is taking so long to get my TV fixed. Every time I called in they had a different excuse.  I went in today (May 23, 2013)

Long story short…… Lack of communication, very unprofessional, no urgency in fixing your equipment,  and based on what they have done to my tv (replacing $200.00 of parts) and my television still doing the same thing lack I feel they do not know what they are doing and will just replace parts to try and run up your bill. The problem is I have already paid them from when I thought it was fixed the first time but no way to stop payment because they only accept cash or DEBIT for purchases over $200. I am in the service industry so I know things happen but I just plain do not trust this place…. I guess I am not the only one that has had issues with this place….10 complaints with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and I have yet to find a good review online for this place. I can tell you I have learned my lesson. Hope everyone else learns from my mistake and avoids this place! PS BESTBUY has this place as an authorized repair shop? Please reconsider taking it to The BESTBUY of Brighton for a repair because it will probably go to these guys.
