Because she had been dropped off, she had nowhere to go. repeated calls to the apartment manager, the AEW headquarters, the district manager - all went unanswered. In fact, the apartment manager Rachel Moore, hung up on this young girl's dad. They even called the police and refused to open the door.
They stated that there was fine print in the lease that allowed them to do this, Even though the parent had pre-paid for the lease. When the girl was given a copy of the lease, there was nothing in it that referenced allowing them to change the locks.
Their behavior was unconscionable, and illegal.
