Online confirmation was for economy car and was confirmed for the amount of 191.80.

On checkout, a different car was assigned that wound up charging 450.71.  But there was no transparency or mention of the change in fees owing to the different car assigned.

Very shady business practice by Budget Car Rental.

The Budget Complaint Department can help

If you make a call to the Budget Complaint Department and explain the situation, they will work to resolve those issues.  I had a similar problem over the weekend and after explanation, they removed the charges that were inconsistent with our original reservation.  I hope it helps.
