I was as ripped off like many othersby Bob and his wife Erica at build a bandit in Black Mountain, nc. I purchased a 1978 Trans Am in Feb. 2011for $16,500 to be buildt to my specs and it has been lies and hell ever since. I paid in full for the car and received a contract and a car VIN number of the car to be restored but never received the car. Now Bob claims he was forced into bankrupty because of a lawsuit filed and won by some guy named Mr. G. Payne? But seems like everything Bob and Erica has said was a BS!! I am looking for any help trying to recover my car or any money and track down these ripoff aholes so they don't try and scam anybody else. They belong under the jail. I know there are many people who were ripped off by these Bob & Erica so if anybody wants to get together to take legal action, please let me know.

File complaints with the Buncombe County Police (Det. Mike Davis), DMV (Inspector Walston), and North Carolina Attorney General's office (Susan Davis). Also file a complaint with the FBI. Look up FBI consumer complaint. They are working on this. There is also a large group of victims that are staying in contact with each other and sharing information to make sure that this doesn't get swept under the rug. Look us up on Facebook (buildabandit-reviews) and a very long thread on a hitmantransam website. We probably will never see our money, but hopefully ALL the guilty will rot in jail for a good long time.

Bob Mcelreath has NOT filed bankruptcy. It's just another lie to add to his long list of lies that started when you first contacted him.
