In October 2012, a crack developed in the replacement boiler in the exact same location. Replacement under warranty would cost $5000, with no guarantee that a 3rd boiler would not crack, as well.
Our plumbing and heating contractor and fuel company were reluctant to install another Burnham boiler because of numerous, frequent and increasing service calls for boiler block cracks from customers who also have the V series. At their recommendation, and for peace of mind, we installed a System 2000.
The warranty is worthless. Who wants to replace a heating system more frequently than a toaster or a coffeemaker? Shame on them!
